Anyone else feel like second class citizens when trying to book warranty work with Audi?
As mentioned in another thread, my Avant tailgate never closes first time and I usually have to open and close it 2/3 times until it locks properly.

When I booked it in, the earliest appointment was 5 weeks in advance.

Yesterday, the tailgate wouldn't close properly, but it also wouldn't open up again either. It looked closed from the outside but the warning was showing in the VC. I rang my Audi dealer and explained the situation and asked if it could be booked in earlier. Their response was "with the hours I've got available 6th December (which is the date in booked for) is the earliest available".

This makes me wonder if the working hours allocated to warranty work are restricted in some way, as opposed to "paying customers"?

Anyway, I drove to Liverpool Audi without calling in advance, to see if they could help, bearing in mind it was 11:45 on a Saturday and the receptionist said they were fully booked. In the end, the car was looked at and fixed, before my wife and I could finish our coffee. Fantastic work by Liverpool Audi.

The culprit was a "bag for life", my wife put some in the load area and closed the tailgate without looking. A bag had become caught in the latch mechanism.

I still have the original issue where it won't close first time, but at least I can get in my tailgate, which is just as well, as my insulin was also in the boot as well!

Aberdeen Audi have always been good for us although, if you want a courtesy car, it can take a few weeks.

Plymouth Audi have been great for me so far. It went in for rusty rear callipers and I thought I might have a battle to get them to do anything. Far from it, they couldn’t have been more apologetic and sorted it without any fuss. Very impressed by their customer service to date.

Besides going back three times after having parts replaced, then finally got the whole s tronic box replaced. A coolant bottle all with the same level of service expected as a paying customer. Even though We hadn’t bought the car from this dealer.

Ive had really terrible service from Liverpool Audi or fantastic - never anywhere in the middle. My S5 is going in on 4th for three rattles to be attended too. Drivers door, central speaker and pan roof.

Glad it was fixed though mate.
