Hello everyone. I have audi A3 2.0 2005 sportback 8p and I have an issue with the comfort module ( i thing so ).
So what's happening. my remote keys - both of them are not working when i press anyone button, not matter unlock lock or baggage.... i change the battery on each one and try to reprogram on few different ways (looking youtube) but nothing happen.... I found where the module is, check it is everything OK and I noticed that one of the pins was corroded... so i clean it with electric contact spray and back everything inside as factory do that... after a few minutes i try again with he fob but nothing again.... when i press any button i hear some sound (something like clicking) from the module but not working at all. Central locking is perfectly working when i put the key inside he door. It open and close manual with the keys on the doors windows are also working when i hold the key on the door - everything is working except the remote!

So im now confused ..... i was reading on the net - somewhere i read that it can be problem the module and someone told me than it can be the both keys ( it can not be reprogrammed ).

my central comfort module is: VW AG 850 959 433 E

i try with similar module - same numbers but only the letter was C instead of E - it works with the OTHER fob keys but not working everything... - I know that it must be everything the same or it will not work properly..

Anyone with problem like this? how to try to resolve this problem?

You could try deleting the remote’s and reprogramming via vcds??

I finally figure out what is the problem... it is not the module - the problem are the keys! i was to a shop where keys are made re programming codding etc.... they think as i think as first that the problem is in the module but they are wrong (same as I) - both of keys are damaged rolling code is damaged to both of the keys! - when he try to reset / restart keys they are working ONLY ONCE and every next click on anyone button is failed... so he made a new copy for keyfob and it works perfectly! - he told me that if I want original audi key i will cost almost 150 euro for 1 key and i have second option for similar key (new but not original ) and it will cost around 65 euro....

now i want to konw - is it possible to buy other key but im not sure how to check the coorect one because on the plastic cover it has some codes also.... i see codes i see that they are working on 434 Mhz producer by HELLA etc etc.... - im not sure if i can get that on aliexpess...

other idea wich im not sure also - can i buy used key from other audi a3 and earse the program inside that key and try to reprogram...

anyone experience with this ???

Update - as i figure it out that both of my keys are not working properly i decide to order just 1 key on aliexpress for test if i can adapt to my module... important part for ordering key are the next parts... on the side of key key should have numbers and characters - those are specified to each vehicle... - you should order by that marks.. mine is: Manufacturer Part Number:8P0 837 220 Frequency:434Mhz Part number:8P0 837 220 Other Part Number:5FA 009 272-10 when those marks are the same as original key it can be adapted to the CCM module but only for central locking module!!! this is not for immo! - for the immo you should know which chip you have in the key fob and program with special program ( addapt to your immo ). For now i have made an order on and im still waiting to get the key. I will write next post when the key arrive and test what i'm gonna do with it.

Regards from Macedonia

I finally solve the problem. Ordered new key and just arrived.. Simply I adapt to car with vcds and works properly... Just change the chip from the old key to new one for immo ant that's it....

How did you remove the chip?

You only need a sharp knife and slowly cut it out. There normally only siliconed in. But be careful not to break it as it’s glass.
