I have been looking into potentially going stage 2 plus with my S3 and was wondering if there is anyone on here that are at stage 2 plus and could maybe provide some insight into what it has been like since the stage 2 plus in terms of driveability, Also reliability. Any known issues? Things to look out for? I look forward to everyones response.

Thanks

365 to 380bhp, 100 over stock, with the right hardware and map (Rtech) you won’t regret it amazing grunt and good for daily driver

Stage 1 is the best value as the software works with standard hardware. 1+ costs a bit more as you will need updated internals in the hpfp. Again you can get away without any extra hardware apart from the tweaks to the hpfp.
Stage 2+ needs quite a bit of extra hardware and so the price rises quite a bit.
At stage 2+, the car does not feel much different until you get to 4K revs. Then it becomes a beast all the way round to the redline which probably have been raised to 7,200 rpm.
I have APR software but I may change to a custom map next year to get the most out of the extensive hardware I have installed.

Awesome for a daily driver, not a lot can match it on the roads. Only thing that doesn’t like it mechanically is the clutch/flyweel. Even the aftermarket Sachs organic isn’t really upto it mines been in for maybe 15k miles now and the dual mass is knackered already and the bite is in the middle of the pedal already.

just don’t launch it off the line and it’ll last, if you do driveshafts etc won’t take the abuse very well

APR 2+ here. Runs like a dream, bought new, first 50k on Revo stg 1, 40k now on APR so 90k in all and great. DSG will take it no problem but i wouldn't even think about launching it.

I keep looking at F-Types though.....:)

Have driven a mk6 Golf R that is MRC stage 2+ and wow! Assuming the results are similar on the S3 then definitely go for it.

Not sure about clutch/flywheel in manual cars though, the car I drove was DSG.

Awesome. Thanks guys. Abit apprehensive about the clutch seeing as i'll have to upgrade it. Hopefully it's not too uncomfortable to drive with an uprated clutch. Time to save up!

The latest clutch for the TFSI engine is made by RTS. Pedal pressure is the same as normal. I am running one in at the moment on my car. A bit of judder in 1st and reverse at the moment that goes over time. It just needs a few revs more than normal when setting off but that is improving.

Why wouldn't you launch it, day will take it no sweat

Yea , tell that to the first Dif and haldex that failed at 50k miles and set me back £5k.

I’ve only launched mine 3 times. My
Hadlex pump has just died however not the same issue. Think it’s just hit and miss with launching some cars get launched daily and are fine some just don’t like it

I probably didn't launch mine more than 3 times and the Diff started whining , killed a bearing and you cant get the unit apart to replace them.
