Front number plate surround

Can someone give a quick run through on how to remove the front plastic number plate surround on my PFL RS3. Can it be be removed without removing bumper or is it a bumper off job?
 
I think it is the same as my B8 RS4.
Remove the number plate and you will see 2 screws, remove these and it unclips from the grill.

I know the FL version is just held on with 4 inward facing brackets that just clip around the grill. A bit of careful persuasion and it just clips of...not sure if PFL would be the same.

Yeah, from memory its just a couple of torx screws once number plate is removed. 2 min job :)

Im thinking about removing my front number plate surround but my problem is where do you put the replacement number plate?

Cant stick one on the bumper under the headlights because of the headlight washers.

Anyone removed theirs?
 
I removed mine not long ago. It’s a case of removing plate, followed by two screws then surround will un clip. You will then need grille number plate clips from creative motorsport solutions

If you search this forum there was a post a while back about re-fixing the front number plate once the surround had been removed.
From memory the company supply Number Plate brackets that actually just clip onto the RS front grill and the number plate then just clips into the brackets. They looked pretty good and easy to install.
