Hi All as the title says I m utterly disappointed with the sell of my car. Before to take the decision to go for an approved used Audi I ve seen so many articles how about cars like Audi keep a better value for resale and bla bla bla ...for over a month is on Autotrader and zero interest I had the “brilliant” idea to advertise the car for £8500 as thinking that everyone will see how much I invested in the car...over 1000 pounds in detailing products and all my stupid expenses all products used on the car to be top or Audi products also service and repairs at Audi Wimbledon at a cost that doesn t reflect all the time the quality of service they advertise to offer and after the warranty expired I ve bought another one for each year if my ownership...road assistance...diesel receipts hundreds of them to prove that the diesel was always the Vpower one at another cost that normal diesel just for the sake of the car/dpf/egr..and now not even a phone call or someone to ask about it. It s advertised on Autotrader for £6290 negotiable and Vw dealership offered as px for a Tiguan the amount of £3800-£4800...what is wrong you think in this process? That the car has visual mods..I m inclined to think that because I m not a dealer people think it s quite a risky business although I ve offered my availability to take the car at an Audi centre or if someone has vcds ir a mechanic to check it it s all good. Now because the car sits front right side caliper has seized and I have a feeling that this just the beginning. Any ideas why won t sell? Maybe my add is not a good one or it s too expensive? Any help is appreciated as always. This is the add: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classi...d=New&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=Used

To be brutally honest, your photos are crap. Not a single photo from the outside of the car that I’d consider a good one. Take a look at how Audi take photos of their approved used cars and copy that.

In the description I would get rid of everything about modifications, people who think they’re a plus will be able to tell from the photos. Everyone else will run a mile seeing that the car is modified.

And investing money into a car rarely does anything for the value. I paid £12k for my A3 2 years ago, spent £1k on detailing stuff, £1.5k on retrofitting missing options, £900 on maintenance, only ever used V power, and always got it serviced at Audi. Only put 15k miles on it and sold it in June for £7,500. The same as every beaten up one on Autotrader. Most people don’t care about that sort of stuff.

Looks like a nice car so I’m sure once you get some better pics up you’ll get more interest

Good luck with the sale :icon thumright:

It's a buyers market and the market is saturated with used cars and has been for some time.
Unless you car is something really special you will have drop your price to get a sale .
Just too many excellent , good and average cars for sale out there.

wish you well though.:icon thumright:

Thanks I m just sad that the car will start soon to have issues as sits in a car park and I try to take it to gym but it s nothing really for a car like this...I do weights the car not, just to make a point heresuch a shame when I was looking for a car a fee years ago I ve found my self a very nice A6 c6 with s line pack all good but the engine failed soon...£6000 and bought from Mini Cooper Cobham...nothing else for months like german car @£6000

The mods would put me off, as it will with a lot of other buyers. Personally I would put it back to standard and sell the modifications.

Thanks for your input and yes I was thinking at that funny enough the car drags a lot of eyes on the roads especially young lads and I was thinking that this will help...probably not so many enthusiasts as I ve thought.

Young lads want the full body kit so will be looking for an sline and if the monthly's can stretch to it an S model. SE models tend not to go to people who are looking for styling modifications, just look for a clean reliable motor.

Good luck with the sale whatever you do, as it does look like a nice clean motor.

Thanks I ll sort out the seized caliper and probably put the car back as standard (grille off spoilers off) even have tyres and alloys on 17”oem so I might swap the 18”

As said above, personally I'd always want an s-line plus Quattro so although your car looks nice from the outside inside there is no black roof lining or sports seats e.t.c. on the inside.
Sell all of the mod's separately on eBay and put back to standard and either trade in (you will still be offered the same as before or sell privately at the price you have it advertised now.
GLWS

Yeah at the time when bought it was everything I need it knowing that I can’touch an approved sline Audi so Se was good enough.
