Hi, if my car doesn't show the dpf warning light when i turn on the ignition can i assume it doesn't have a dpf ?

Don't know , what's the manufacturers smoke coefficient value on the VIN sticker ?

But you do have the dodgy oil pump drive .

You should have a list of option codes in your original manual with the car or on a sticker in the spare wheel well , then use the pr search on vagplannet and one of the codes will tell you if the car had a dpf fitted from the factory.
