i have an issue which started tonight on way home.

the rear wiper started to move from side to side but wouldnt stop .

after about 5 mins it stopped for a few minutes and started again.

anybody any ideas ?

Same happened to mine - water ingress and after a week or so, the circuit board got more than a bit warm..... so warm I could smell it!
Motors are cheap and easy enough to replace, I think mine was around £30 from ebay. OK, not OEM but works just as well in all fairness.

More than likely the metal water pipe that runs through the motor (yes Audi put a metal water pipe through the motor!!!) has rusted and started to leak into the motor causing it to randomly move on its own accord

Just leave it and in a few weeks it will stop working completely then just never use the rear wiper again, that's what Ive been doing for the last 3 years

Remove it and blank it off, that's what I did when mine stopped working

Well that's jinxed mine - wouldn't stop tonight for about 30 minutes.
Got home, switched off ignition, switched on again and it still carried on.
Oh well, it's under guarantee........allegedly!

Anyone else had this issue? Noticed on the way home that the rear water jets weren’t spraying the window, but rather mid air. Got home, adjusted the spray outlets and used the spray a fair bit to ensure they were angled.... now the ****** wiper won’t stop. Wiper motor is roughly 12 months old after being replaced for usual failure. Same thing again? Surely not after 12 months...
