Small mercy's, half of me thought of getting a new light even knowing the price as the chip looks horrendous but I can't justify the price .Nooo the light, but at least it isn't broken! Have you seen the price of a new one

So autoglass won't do it and pretty wary of just chucking some resin in there by myself without messing up the headlight so will have to peruse some more.
Spoke to a guy in work today and mentioned your headlight, he said Crystal Araldite.
Conducted a little experiment this evening - swapping out the 1.25mm orifice inside my snow foam lance for a 1.1mm orifice. Took seconds and cost pennies - the theory being that this would produce thicker snow foam due to the restricted water flow through the lance.
Take the connector off the lance as shown (new orifice is sitting between the connector and the lance). My set up has a quick connector for a short trigger gun, but if you have the standard Karcher Vario lance then the black connector in the second pic is what you’ll need to remove. Third pic shows the orifice inside the lance that you need to remove with a flat head screwdriver and replace with the new one...
HOWEVER. When I tested it the K4 is pulsating. I thought it might need a bit of ‘dialling in’, so I’ve twisted both the dials on the lance - the one on top and the one on the nose but no joy. I’ve also experimented with not fully tightening the orifice inside the lance, but the problem still persists. Grrr.
Then I wondered if it was due to the quick connect short trigger gun I’m using, so changed the connector and tried it with the Karcher Vario lance. Still no joy.
I’m now wondering if, at 130 bar, the K4 is producing too much pressure for the smaller orifice to handle.
@Scotty75 - any tips pal - you mentioned when you did this you had the same problem to start with, but managed to overcome it?

That's a PITA Jimbo. Did you clean the filter / gauze ? Soaked mine overnight in vinegar . Don't think it's related to the K4 , my k5 puts out 145psi which is a tad more than the K4.
I'd start by turning down the pressure on the K4 to about 50%, assuming you can do this on the K4 . Then I'd run the Lance with maximum water flow and slowly dial back towards more foam .

Ah, so the plot thickens. With the Karcher K5 you have the ability to adjust the pressure on the Vario trigger gun itself (see pic below).
On the K4 you can only do this using the Vario lance (which you can’t connect your snow foam lance to). So it seems like I’ve taken one for the K4 team with this experiment. The 1.1mm orifice mod won’t work on the K4. You can’t dial back the pressure going to the snow foam lance on the K4, and the pressure is too much for the more restrictive orifice to handle, which creates back pressure and causes the K4 to ‘pulsate’. Oh well, for a couple of quid it was worth looking into, and it’s not like I was getting bad results anyway, so back to the standard 1.25mm orifice it is.
And for those with a K5 who also have the in2detailing Karcher short trigger gun (that would be you @X3man), I don’t believe it will work with the short trigger gun.

In addition to the normal wash, I have gone over the engine bay with some Turtle Wax cockpit shine spray I had laying around.
Not suitable for the inside dash but did not want to see it going to waste.
Used for the engine bay plastics areas it was perfect and came up a treat.

Just had a two day correction detail....check out mkprodetail on facebook and check out the pics and vids...well happy..
I have the "older" K5, so no option to adjust pressure, but mine makes pretty decent thick foam anyway

Nice dry day without any sun, so I washed the car and then applied the Gyeon Wet Coat I bought a couple of weeks back.
Sprayed it on one (wet) panel at at time and then wiped it all over that panel with a MF cloth, then jet washed it off. The only part of the car I didn't do was the windscreen.
After the car had been fully done I went over it all with the jet wash again to see what it looks like covered in water:
I then dried the car and was pleased to see how shiny it was
Looking at the bottle I didn't use as much as I thought I did! probably about 1/4 if that!

I've also found out that (and it might just be me
) rinsing it off with a hose gun rather than using JW you get better results & longevity.

Cheers guys, I wasn't sure about the windscreen so left it out. I fully intend to give it another coat the next wash, so I'll do the windscreen and just a spray 0n hose off the rest of the car
Came out from work just now and the bonnet looked cool, it was covered in thousands of little uniformed beads of water. I didn't take a picture as I'd have never lived it down with all the lads around

Looking very good mate, real shine there from white, and top beading
Not washed it for a few weeks as been busy with work & weathers not been great either. So today gave it a well needed clean used AF Citrus power halfway up the car & wheels washed with Gtechniq Gwash & tried Gtechniq c2v3 for the first time as a drying aid instead of my usual bead maker & Megs endurance on the tyres.
Gave the interior of the Avant a good deep clean of leathers trims & window but haven’t got pics as the wife’s out in the car
After fitting my new head unit / screen thing the interior was looking a bit messy and covered in fingerprints so gave it a full hoover and clean, Koch Chemie green star worked a treat on all interior plastics, just waiting for my Zaino Z10 to be delivered to give the leather a coat

My Karcher K5 Premium has decided it has had enough after 7.5 years. Hmm what to get next.
Options I think (as don’t want to go smaller):
a) A new K5 with controllable lance
b) K7
c) Kranzle
b) suggestions?
Anyway, had to revert to normal hose...what a pain! So no snowfoam this time, used cleanliness prewash in manual sprayer

Oh, and cleaned and sealed leather yesterday:

I know what you mean having to resort to old fashion hose. My K4 after 5 months just packed in and away back to karcher for repair. Motor keeps throttling after about 5 -10 minutes of use.
My last k2 lasted almost 9 years. They don’t make them like they used to
Other than reliability I would say k4 is more than enough and can be had for around £120 from the outlets.
