Thought I’d post my stats after leaving my trip on for 10k miles.
C4200005 7E4F 400C A6C9 903D7C20DA8A

Car is now on 18k and the factory fitted Hankook ventus S1 Evo’s still have 3mm all round. Anticipating at least 20k from them.

Front pads are 30% worn and rears are 20%.

How is everyone else getting on? I ran it exclusively on V power for about 6 months then got caught short and filled it with 95 regular, since the regime was broken I’ve remained on 95.

Had my S4 about 2.5 years and I’m on 18.5k miles. I’ve used the ‘road trip’ app from day one and my average 29.2 mpg. I do about 150 miles a week and a few long trips occasionally so I think that’s pretty good.
My car had conti SC6 and they were good for 17k miles ish so I was happy with that.

I should add I’ve only every used V power

I think you 2 should have bought a 2.0 diesel. I use the performance pretty much always hence my terrible mpg :(

Haha! I use the performance mostly on motorways and the back roads around Dorset,Wiltshire, Hampshire and Somerset. I’m not one for hooning it around town. It never comes out of dynamic mode either:innocent:

@Jsmills touche!
I didn’t buy this S4 or my previous S4’s for economy - just impressed by the figures as it’s my daily drive. My B6 S4 use to average 17 mpg on a good day!
Clearly I need to try harder to match your figures

17! Ouch.

Your right the mpg is pretty good considering. It is capable of reasonable figures if wanted. Either way I love the car the exhaust has fruited up over time, it’s such a brill car for daily use.

Worth noting I’ve also got a bit of life in the hankooks @ 19.5k

I have also noticed the same reference the exhaust, it was a bit of a non event when I first got the car and now it’s really starting to sound decent.

The Hankooks are a great tyre, I’ve got 4 sat in the garage ready to go on when the current set get to 1.6mm.

My S4 has averaged 24mpg over the last 18k miles, although I did achieve 36 while on holiday cruising around quiet French motorways. 31 is impressive!

I didn't buy the car for economy so 24mpg doesn't bother me. I do wish it had a bigger tank though - after owning a car that easily did 500 miles on a tank the S4's ~300 mile range can be a pain!

My stock Contis only lasted 12k

Good work :icon thumright:

the tank bothered me when I first got it, think I’ve grown used to it as dont notice now, think I’m 370 to a tank

I have the hankooks fitted as well and I’ve just hit 9000 miles and they are down to 3.8mm front 4mm rear, quite disappointed with the wear, will probably switch to Michelin’s which I’ve always seemed to get on better with, with previous cars.

Strange.. are they Ventus S1 Evo R01’s ?

Yeah.. I personally think the treads a lot lower than what Audi measured last week, so il measure them next time I wash the car. I check the tyre pressure every month, more than what I’ve done with any previous car tbh. I mentioned in the dealership that I wasn’t too happy with the wear and they said that the hankooks were there version of a ‘budget brand’.

haha, they probably shouldn’t say that when Audi have decided to put them on a high performance 50K car.

Weird, what engine do you have? Also lol at AUDI saying they are a budget tyre! Every review of them on the internet begs to differ

Quite, they are not a budget tyre, Mercedes use them too on some of their cars...

I killed the original pzero's in 4.5k and my average is 21mpg over 9k
Do you go on the track every other day? How is that even possible?! You’d have spent £2,000 on replacements by the time I’d done a set of hankooks

I couldn't think of anything worse than an s4 on track haha, I've got PS4S on now and they are lasting better, I don't do any city driving or driving it for work etc, so the only time I use it it gets a hard time and the dtuk box certainly doesn't help matters! I've got it on a silly cheap lease so I treat it rather hard, don't get me wrong I let it warm up but that's about it

I tend to do a lot of Mway driving with work ~15k miles PA. Averaging 35mpg and got 20k miles out of the OEM tyres. Not bad for 400+ bhp with 4WD

My Pzero’s lasted 6k, I find the Michelin’s last about 11k. After 60k miles in two years I don’t think I have ever had the mpg above 30 and the average is 24mpg.
