Hi,

Since Updating to 13.1 via AMI i can only select a playlist but then cannot change the tracks within that playlist.
Anyone else have this issue since updating?

I’ve reset iPhone and MMI a number of times.

Nothing has fixed this issue.

the only way is for me to reselect the playlist and pick another track.

What iOS app are you using to play the playlist? Deezer, spotify, Apple Music?

My guess would be that this is an issue with the specific music app in iOS 13 car play, rather than the Audi MMI.

I’m using Apple Music. It’s the way AM is interacting/working via the car. Sometimes Audi release updates when software effects functionality like this so they’ve told me via Twitter tonight. Funny how iOS 13 was fine.

Are you using Apple Music via Bluetooth or car play.

I had this issue with Bluetooth yesterday but haven’t tried plugging in for CarPlay to see if this works ok.

You'll be hard pressed to persuade Audi to apply any firmware update to the MMI though. It's broke because Apple, along with other things, have broken it...

It’s def Apple Music. Still works fine with Spotify.
I’ve been talking to Apple via tweeter.

via AMI.

Just tried this on the way home and works fine with my iPhone X on 13.1. It’s with the Q2 but I guess same software. I swear I never used to get the playlist tracks on the MMI but I do now. Seems to be more info displayed on mine.this is with Apple Music and via Bluetooth. Not tried car play yet.

You would have newer tech though.

Just tested this on my Xs max on 13.1 with my mmi high and works both on carplay and the Audi media player. Can search tracks, album, playlists etc

Is that via AMI cable as in the old ones? I have a yellow one.

Have you tried via Bluetooth? I haven’t tried via cable but will tomorro for you.

yeah BT is fine but the audio quality really suffers when compared to cable. Plus it can’t see playlists etc. To clarify I have no issues over BT.

Slightly different but when I got in my car this morning after updating to 13.1 it was asking me for a password for the bluetooth!

Password or just access to Bluetooth? The new ios seems to ask for permissions for everything at the moment.

I’ve updated to the new update and I’ve still got the same problem. I’ve been speaking to Apple on Twitter and they’ve advised to delete the Apple Music app and re-download music and that still hasn’t resolved my issue. It’s definitely just linked to Apple Music as like I said Spotify still lets me skip tracks.

Some slight good news. The issue only seems to be with my own playlists in AM. If I play an album, tracks skip fine.

Any ideas why the issue may lie with my own playlists?

were they imported from another app like Spotify?
I had issues using a converter when I moved from Spotify to AM

no they were not. I’ve had the same ones going for ages. Really confused as to why this is the case.

I’m going to update my wife’s phone to 13.1 to see if hers acts the same way.

is the music saved on your phone or streamed over the air? Maybe it’s buffering..
Just guessing now.

It’s all save. 53gb of it.

Maybe that’s the problem. File structure somehow got corrupted with the update and mmi can’t read or see it properly.
Try creating a new playlist and see if that works.
Most iPhone/iPod readers are just looking for a specific file structure. If that isn’t there in the right place it doesn’t work. this is why the mmi can’t see Spotify playlists as it’s saved somewhere else

Yeah I’ve made another playlist with only 4 tracks and have the same issue.

will see if my wife’s phone works.
You’re right about files though.

Same issue on my wife’s phone. Set up a new playlist on her phone of only 4 tracks and has the same issue.

Def linked to the users own playlists.

Ran out of ideas now. Maybe mmi update to latest firmware.
Strange it doesn’t affect the facelifts.

aren’t all FL on the USB cable now? Might be an AMI issue if it’s Audi. I still think it’s Apple related.
