Hi,

Saw this today while on holiday in Cornwall.

Reminded me how brilliant these cars were and such as shame they didn’t catch on.

That reminds me of the time I seen a mk2, mk3 and mk4 Astra on one drive. I think some old guy lived there and liked astras but didn't sell the old one after buying a new one LOL

You should visit the A2 owners club. Some of the guys have 4 of them. I would like one but price is pretty firm for a good one

Had two: a 1.6FSi and a 90bhp TDi, both brilliant and would recommend 100% to anyone:

Pull out the rear seats (a 2-minute exercise) and they make a great van!

Wife had a 1.4TFSI, that I used a fair amount for commuting the 30 miles into Canary Wharf back in the early noughties. Was a great little car and well ahead of its time

My sister-in-law still has a 1.4TFSi, Nev, 8-years now, and just won't change; just does everything she needs:

And a friend has another:

And for sure we regularly 'see' our own previous A2 cars (post #4) just for fun... :racer:

Good memories though, Nev, hopefully...

The owner of our TDi A2 made this A3 illustration for us:

Haha, I suppose at the time it was, but not really.......

Very nice John :icon thumright:

I agree Nev, great at the time. Though I still drive two and enjoy the 'drive' every time. But out in the RS3 yesterday, brilliant, and again today - the usual hospital runs; SQ5 tomorrow as it'll be a 6-hour session, and the TT (pump off) on Thursday; gotta make hay while this 'winter' sun shines...

We and that's "both of us" still prefer (for our current use) the SQ5 over the RS3 and/or TT; the SQ5 is looking like another 'keeper'...

When I was saying great at the time, was more about the marriage I was in, as opposed car...A2 was great, and also had a A6 allroad.

The SQ5 is a cracking car, certainly the version you have John. And what a set of options you have at your disposal with SQ5, RS3 and TT. Definitely all weather options and scenarios catered for there!.

Hope all is going well with the treatments for Mrs 45bvtc and continues that way :icon thumright:

You can add to your tiles with Audi A2 should you get one :)

I bought this instead as a runaround... 11 years old. Full audi history Cambelt water pump and full service. 47k miles ... seemed like a good idea but need to source iPod hook up and some 18in wheels would be nice.
