Evening chaps.
A bit of a follow on really to my Bacon Sandwich thread some time ago, which did show some wild variation to the traditional bacon sarny .
Anyway , down to the nitty gritty and the big question "how do you like your toast" .
I'm a bit of toast person really and do like toast for breakfast with my frosties, well not actually with frosties...lol, that would be so wrong.
I'm of the preference that I like toast to be toast , none of this light brown slightly touched stuff, has to be nice and toasted , dark brown .
Bread wise is also key to decent toast for me, it needs to be thick so when toasted its not like a piece of cardboard that would double as a frizzbee.
From my experience the right bread is critical for the best toast, I've tried a lot over the years and only a few have been worthy of the title super toast.
On a recent visit to our local waitrose the wife found a new loaf to try, its called a " black sheep tiger bloomer" and it is by far the nicest loaf I have had for years, nice and toasty on the outside with a soft texture, brilliant and it is nice as just plain bread too.
for a topping just nice butter or with some tiptree marmalade...yum, if i'm feeling dangerous a bit of bacon on top, double yum..
anyway, what is your preference and with what topping.
