So I picked up my S4 avant just over a week ago and the previous owner, or the one before him, had fitted a replacement grille and moved the no. plate to the right hand side, now stuck on as a vinyl. The grille is a definite upgrade and I really like the improvement, except I'd prefer the no. plate to still be in the middle.
Since owning the car I've spent ages going all over the net and searching on here for a reasonable solution to this. The twist in clips/brackets that were available on ebay are sadly no longer available and other grilles seem to come with the number plate as part of the kit/package, not available to buy separately.
As a result can anyone help in recommending a plate holder or whatever, and the means with which to fit it to the front? Hopefully something which doesn't end up in a bodge with zip ties holding it on. I'm not a numpty with a spanner but can't find any quick & simple answers.
Also I want to put an S4 badge back on the grille as well, do they just clip on or are they bolted to a bracket holding it in place?
