Hi all,
wondering if someone can give me some advice please?
I have an Audi A4 Diesel 2011
Once i switch on the Ingnition the Emission Control Warning light comes on, on the dashboard.
Once i start the engine, the Emission Control light goes off.
So just wondering if this is something that i should get checked or is it just a matter of the Dashboard displaying on ignition that the control light works?

Many thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. Turning on the ignition activates the electrical system on the car, including engine sensors. Once the car is started - if it goes out it's fine. If someone close to you has a copy of VCDS you can get the car scanned if that gives you peace of mind.

Diesels need to be used, so if you've had a long run and hear the DPF regeneration, then all is good.
