Anyone selling/ handing back their rs3 that’s on hire purchase ?

I brought an rs3 in 2018 from a friend who had the car on hire purchase. I was able to buy it straight from Audi/bca before he gave it back and it went to auction. I then sold it a few months ago but I’m looking for another now !

is anyone handing back their rs3 who would be willing to let me pay the settlement figure before it went to auction ? Message me

Why not just go buy one ? Plenty for sale at the Dealers and AT.

Go for TTRS if you can put up with smaller rear seats.

Because if someone is giving back a car to get a new one or close their deal normally it’s a lot cheaper and saves Audi hassle. I paid 24k for my rs3 with sp seats, sound and screen package, optics pack etc etc .....

I can settle the deal and put some cash their way so it’s a win win ....

I know you managed it before but never heard of anyone (on here at least) “handing back” an RS, as they are in such demand generally and sell sharpish, unless cr*p spec

That looks spot on keane.
I see that they have a metallic shimmer to the paint, can you colour them whatever colour you want and refit RS logo to suit?

I see the gap that you're trying to exploit but as someone said above, the majority of owners will trade their cars in against another car using any equity as a deposit. Audi RS's, especially the 3's hold their values well so the difference between what they're owe Audi and what the car's worth at the end of the term can be quite a hefty chunk. The 2nd hand market has a demand also so you would have to be off your head just to hand the car back to Audi and walk away (Unless in negative equity which RS3's wont be)

There will be no facelift cars at that point yet either as majority would have signed up for 36/48 month terms. You'll be looking at PFL.

If the car is leased however, that's the area you should be trying to exploit. If so, then you would need to go to auction and bid your way into a car.

I think you got lucky with that last car, doubtful you will find the same bit of luck again as it literally makes no sense for the buyer to reward you in a buy and sell quick profit type exploit.

You've said yourself there that you bought your RS3 for £24k, kept the car a year and then sold for £28k (As per your for sale post back in June) so you've spotted an "RS3 gap" for profit

. I dont think we will have any stupid owners in here though, enthusiasts know what their cars are worth. You got lucky

If there are any owners in here selling their RS3's contact automotive addiction (Dhyllan) or Blakedown car company. They are always after RS3's and will give you a few grand extra over book price if specced well and in great condition. (You can find both these companies on Facebook) - Never ever hand an RS3 back to Audi.

Yea I really don’t understand why anyone would give you the opportunity to buy their Hire Purchased car when they are pretty much guaranteed to have positive equity with the nature of this car.. I don’t get it

I mentioned this thread to the guys who work with me, needless to say none of them could believe anyone in their right mind would do such a thing.

Especially when there are so many available used.

Yeah seems a bit crazy, the person selling the RS3 in this scenario either doesn’t care they are losing a fair wedge of cash by just handing back or selling to someone for that same price, or they just don’t understand how things work and think that their only option is to get rid at the value given as the gfv (either selling or handing back).

Hell even we buy any car would give someone a hell of a lot more than the gfv!

So why someone would sell at such a low value I don’t know, again they’ve either got so much cash they don’t care, they don’t understand how it works, or to be fair they could just be doing a mate a favour (whilst taking a huge hit).

Likelihood of finding anyone willing to do this is very low, definitely lucky the first time around!
