Leather cleaning and conditioning?

Hehe cheers Chez for the info. I'm not gonna blame the Dodo Juice just yet but I can't 100% clear it of any blame of course. I'm just baffled that such little cleaning with it and a leather brush has taken the dye out. I cleaned it for literally seconds then wiped off with a damp MF cloth and hey presto.....one knackered leather seat .
My first priority is to try and restore it to it's former glory (minus the dirt and marks of course), then I'll be able to sleep a bit easier at night!

Soooooo,
Not very good this dodo juice stuff then eh?
www.liquidleather.co.uk
I use there gliptone stuff, recommended to me years ago on detailing world.
I won't use anything else.
2 bottles, 1 cleaner, 1 conditioner, smells of leather.
Leaves a mat finish.
Done
They also do dyes
Try that.

Looks good, £55 for a leather care kit I might wait till after Ibiza

Obviously there range is mahoosive and they cater for any situation and problem.
I bought a litre bottle each of there liquid leather cleaner, and conditioner plus a small soft brush literally years ago and still have loads left today lol.
The smell of the car after a treatment is just amazing, like an old jag, the seats (ivory nappa) as good as new and mat.
The amount of crud this stuff removes, and safely, is amazing.
Particularly on the steering wheel!
I may at some point try out there dyes to treat my driver's side bolster as it is showing signs of wear, but in general the condition of my leather on a 10 year old A5 is amazing and can only put it down to using liquid leather gliptone products.
101% recommend there products.

We have analine leather sofas, (untreated leather) beginning to look tatty now, and this company are going to be the only people I will ask to supply products.
It's there speciality is leather.
No, I don't work for them lol

To be honest that’s the exact kinda review I was after

That’s the kit I’ll buy when I’ve got time to do it

I wouldn't necessarily go for that kit.
I got there liquid leather GT 12 cleaner
And there GT 13.5 conditioner.
5 years on, still have some

My main thinking behind that was the dye tbh, and then I get to try a decent selection of products, would you say to order the cleaner, conditioner, dye and weaponry separate?

Personally, I would order 1 litre each of the cleaner, the honey coloured one, and the cream coloured conditioner.
Then a small bottle of the dye.
Lasts ages.
Email them about the dye.
Customer service is top class

Fair enough mate, I’ll have a look in a few weeks, cheers for your help

Detailing - subjective - personal preferences - I am sure we've all read many a times on different forums that we visit / are part of.

I'd question the leather dye here more than the Dodo Juice Cleaner. If anything, Dodo has actually exposed a botched job.

I have been using Dodo combo on my S4 for the last two+ years and for me it leaves the perfect OE matte finish that I like.

Also, what we call here or gets often referred to as leather smell, it is actually not a leather smell. The original leather doesn't smell any way near to what our cars smell like.

Looking clean
Re, the leather smell.
Yes I agree, new cars leather does not smell of leather.
Basically, new car leather is P.U. coated.
Gliptone actually does though.
You are actually applying a leather scent aswell as cleaning

Looks good. Can I ask what you use to clean the stitching on the steering wheel to keep it so white? Don’t want to scrub it and damage the leather on the wheel.

I use valet pro leather cleaner and brush and colourlock shield from advice on here. I do find I’m left with streaks after following the method though. Probably nothing a damp mf won’t solve tbf but still.

I also use this combo, no streaks for me, weird.

I use a soft toothbrush for getting right in at the window/window seal on the side windows.

I get that, as works and a lot cheaper than detailing brushes. I use a firm toothbrush (as recommended by jassyo06) to clear DA pads
