It's marmite, likey likey or no no no bit like bonnet bra.
I think the amber looks good against the black paintwork.

If you like it mate, that's what counts. I'd like to do my foglights like this but leave main beams as is - what film did you use?

Lol lots of options... one blessing of sline is fog surrounds are individually removable #LittleWins

Yeah I like it! I’m a sucker for the whole euro/dtm thing tho. But yeah if I had a darker colour car I would do it. Like you say it’s marmite. Personally I like it! Looks good.

If it was mega stance, a show car, dropped to the deck on 22" rims and an air ride, I could understand the look.

If it's a daily, why would you put tape over your headlights before addressing how the bumper sits or rusty wings?

I know it's tempting to attach everything on eBay >10 quid to your car, and this site seems particularly attracted to that, but there needs to be some common sense applied, especially with safety features. You prang your car and the plod turn up and see your lights all yellow sellotaped... it won't go well.

What's wrong with how the bumper sits?

The tints look awful to me, but also why put a S-Line badge on an SE model

Guys my car is no show car. It was owned by a mate of mine who was a builder. He took better care of his mixer!
Every panel is either scratched, rusty or dented. The wheels are scuffed to hell.
It's a messy rat car which is how it will stay. Mechanically it is good, very good imo which is whats important.
So many people put looks before mechanics.
The headlight film was to look slightly different, like the wheels. I think the sline badges were fitted by a previous owner. I won't be rushing to remove them, really!! Lol.

If you like it then do your thing and keep it on there, everyone has an opinion on what looks best on there cars but that don't always work for the next person, don't get why your asking for opinions off people though, if i do something i do it because i want to, not because i want the green light from the rest of the world :)

WTF!

Lol the beauty of you lot over other car communities is accepting a variety of opinions and the fact we like what we like. Trust me... the BMW lot seem very set in their ways about styling

Exactly my point mate, why do you need permission or looking for acceptance to do something you want to do to your car? f**k that if you want to do it just do it.

That's not really how things work though. Sometimes you need a second or third opinion to confirm what you think. As someone said, certain forums can reject anything that it's conventional, which is a bad thing, but others can be echo chambers where everyone gives the thumbs up until we're all driving cars that look like they've ram raided Halfords and followed a Max Power styling guide.

Yeah i get that some people like a second opinion, i guess I'm looking at it from my point of view and how my head works lol i hear you with the other forums rejecting anything and everything, thats what i like about this forum everyone has a different style and its cool to see and more enjoyable following builds that aint all the same, no one has a meltdown about you doing something quirky unless your names HOGG and you ask about bonnet bras lol.

I like bras

Is this still legal on uk road cars? I used laminx on my golfs front fogs a few years ago and it failed the MOT but looked good. Not sure I like the headlights done but it’s a personal choice you will loose some light though

I tinted the headlights on my previous car with a light black and that was roughly a year ago and what i could find out and told by an mot centre is the only law in the uk is tinted headlights had to let through a certain percentage of light depending on that lights original output, and mine passed the mot twice with a light tint.

I'm not a fan of tinted lights on any car but there's probably things about my car (and certainly things I've done in the past) that others may not like. It's all about getting your car how you like it.

Why you say wtf for? Am I missing something I basically stuck up for you having yellow lights?

Sorry dude I like this forum for its open opinions.
I mistakingly thought you suggested I was looking for approval (green light) lol!

Anything that cuts down lumen output, regardless of how little doesn’t make any sense - at least, not to me anyway.

Within legal limits, I’ve never heard of anyone saying their headlamps light up the road too much.
