Hi all,
been looking at a diesel avant Quattro today. It's on 92k and I was wondering if the cambelt should have been done by now-queried it with the dealer and they said no- so was hoping for some negotiation if it should have been done.
It's not a franchised dealer but it's just had me thinking as I've seen a few that have had the belts done at a similar mileage..

Thanks

Jason

60k or 5 years I have a feeling some handbooks quote 100k + for the belt change which to me is crazy! If I was buying that car I’d want it doing or money off the price it will roughly cost you £400-500 to get both the belt and pump changed.

Yeah Audi reckon something like 120k from memory, which as above I also think is crazy.

I’d hate to think I was running a belt anywhere near that old so we got my girlfriend’s A5 TDI belt done when she got it at 80k.

Definitely worth trying to negotiate based on that but it’s still well under the Audi recommended limit (check the handbook however just in case)

Audi say 140k mine was done 58k currently on 91k will do it again at 100k
