Hi All,

I have an A4 B8 2009 & I am struggling to get usb drives to work with my MMI.

I have the socket in glove box & have usb cable to plug in to it.

I have formatted usb to Fat32 & all songs are in Mp3 format.

I have been told on another forum that I have to create a playlist but even that doesn't seem to work.

Any other ideas I can try.

This is what screen comes up with when I plug usb in & switch to media

Have you tested the ami port with a different cable and an iPhone for instance? Looks like the ami is not in the media source list

Yes I also have 30 pin Ipod cable & 3.5mm Jack cable both of them work.

Hello,

I have an little Audi 2.5” Hard Drive connected via a mini usb. One issue I did have was that the amount of files exceeded the permitted number for the Audi system. I had to split the music up into sub categories such as rock, classic and dance. Then about 20 albums in each folder. It works fine but the annoying part is that rather than go on to the next album it repeats it. You have to manually select the next. Works fine and it’s about 200gb of music now. So I would consider trying it with just one cd on the stick.

I have given up with Usb sticks as I cannot get them to work whatever I try & do. Got a 2gb SD card added some music to it & heyho it worked straight away. So ive gone down this route.
The Ipod cable works. Well it comes up with Audi symbol but I think that's because its a 7th gen. I may try one of these Bluetooth adaptors that plugs into glove box. See if that works.
