I'm new here so hello everyone.

Picked up my 65 plate S3 on Saturday and love it. Parked it in a car park for only the second time today and came back to find a black line about three inches long on the drivers door. To say I'm gutted is an understatement.

Gave it a rub but it's not budging. Not sure what it is but it's on the surface and not a scratch. I've never detailed a car in my life. Can anyone recommend me a product to try to remove it.

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum
It would be better posting up a picture to help bud.
Sounds like a scrape or paint transfer.
Good chance it will polish out but without seeing it I'm guessing

Hi Robbie. Thanks for the welcome and the reply. Your comment makes perfect sense. I'll post a photo tomorrow.

Cheers

Just remember you need to resize the pictures to upload

Blimey, that sounds complicated. Can you recommend an android app and what size do they need to be?
Photo and picture resizer app for android.
I resize 50 percent bud.
Easy enough

if it's on the surface removing it shouldn't be a problem, I'd try some tar remover, follow up with clay and then polish

Thanks. I did take a photo to post but with the sunlight and shadow it didn't come out very well.. I'll try some tar remover and polish as you suggest. Any recommendations for products? I've no idea about recommended manufacturers

Thanks for the welcome. It's not a scratch but a black line about 5cm long and 2mm wide. It's on the surface. Think I'll try some tar remover first?
Yeah that should do it, but the UC is great to have anyway :) it's the first thing I try for any marks.
