Tunerfest Midlands?

Me and the other half plan on going to Tunerfest Midlands car show @ Donington as a very rare kid free day out :) its on the 26th August bank holiday monday, just wondered if anyone else was making the trip?

I know they do a specific car club area i know its late notice to sort out this year but wondered if there was anyway the appropriate people running the forum could try get an audi-sport group together for next year possibly?

Just seen this... unfortunately I’m away that weekend for the wife’s birthday otherwise I’d have been there. Only up the road from me and with no VAG Tuner this year!

Ay at least our cars will be bigger and better for next year ;-) Hopefully we pull a good crowd in from the forum for the next one :)

Got my ticket for this Monday :icon thumright:

Considering booking some track time in for my Mazda as well :racer: might just see if anything's available on the day as today's the last day to book up for the track, seem very small sessions as well.

Unfortunately my cars not track ready otherwise id have done a couple sessions, where did you get your tickets? We was just going to buy them on the day at the gate

Looks like they've stopped the online tickets now and it's on the gate only.

Booked some track time as well so if you see a silver Mazda 6 MPS around half two that'll be me, probably getting lapped by everyone as it'll be the only stock car at Tunerfest haha just a bit of fun though.

Lol I'm sure the little mps will hold its own on the track ill keep an eye out for you.
 
@DieselJake where was you mate? I was there on the back side of the track with my camera out looking for an mps eating evo’s and you was no where to be seen!? Lol.

Will definitely be up for hitting the track next year especially if we get are club up there, I only seem one b7 and that was a black rs4, disappointing.

Brilliant day out though with some lovely weather!

I was definitely their mate, annoyingly sessions were running late so they just shewed us on and didn't have time to set up the in car camera (still had all windows and sunroof open, aircon on and radio up haha had to sort it all during first lap), best I have is this: https://vimeo.com/user102257260/review/356222113/90fab40d10 (also YouTube isn't taking the video for some reason).

Yeah i noticed they was running about 10-15 mind late, we sat down at 2 and stayed there until the RWYB time attack got red flagged shame i didn't see you i was going to take a few videos for you, I definitely want to go on track next year it looked like a right laugh.

Yeah not sure if you but saw someone spun out, shame the camera wasn't up but basically someone (Astra/Civic type thing) was facing the wrong way so we had to come off for a bit (presuming it wasn't down to a crash or car issue but who knows, car looked fine going past), definitely worth going on was a right laugh just need half decent brakes for future track use as they were shot after a couple laps.
 
What brakes/pads were you using?

Yeah definitely going on track next year! Hopefully Sandra gets a few people to come if we have an owners club stand, then get a few of us on track, ford and vauxhall had a half about decent turnout, loads of skodas and rx-8’s owners as well, it was just missing the proper german cars, roll on next year.

Give me some motivation to do the remap, dampers and tyres as well then so i don't get left behind lol.
 
maybe get a few nippy b7 avant buses on track...:icon thumright:

I'll have you saloon owners know , I have an avant project in the pipeline for just such an occasion, will leave you lot way behind.:rockwoot::icon thumright:
 
I was a Curbrough on Monday not that far from Donnington. I may have gone to Donnington if I wasn't at this event. Curbrough isn't the open flowing track that Donnington is though.
