Hi guys.
Just wondering is anyone running 225-40r19 on a standard suspension b8 s line?
I have looked on wheel size calculator and they are bigger than the standard s line wheels of course.

Just wanted to know if anyone runs them before I get tyres.
Just looking for an extra bit of side wall if possible!

What are your width and offset?

That seems a strange size to be running to me, 225 is 30mm narrower than what comes from the factory with 19s

I wouldn’t personally run these but if you did it would raise the car slightly as the tyre is physically bigger, raise the gearing very slightly and throw the speedo out by about 3mph

Rising the car or a small difference on the speedo wouldn't bother me. I just don't want them rubbing or scraping.
Bought a set of 19s but tyres are not great but see a guy on the local classified page selling a very good set of pilot sport but they are 40 profile instead of 35.
I was thinking they wouldn't be any bigger than a set of 20 inch rims and tyres and I have seen where some people have fitted 20s on the a4

Well the tyre is physicality taller and closer to the arch so there is more chance of it coming in to contact with the arch liner over big bumps etc

Yup true. What size tyres do people run on 20 inch rims?
Think I seen 255 30 20 before?

I am running these dunlop sp sport Maxx tyres no rubbing or contact

Good rim protector too :racer:

Be wary of second hand I bought some there were bulges on inner side walls

Actually running 245 45 18 on my standard rims. Wheel size calculator is saying they are pretty much the same diameter as 255 40 19..
