Hello everyone!

I have recently retrofitted the facelift led tail lights to my Q5 8R, but the adaption settings are proving somewhat difficult!

I’m hoping one of you kind folk with a facelift 8R with LED tail lights and living in the UK could take note of their adaption settings please?

It’s Module 46 - Adaption, but you will need to enter Password 16017 to view them. I need channel 195 to 210 if at all possible please!

Thanks very much :)

I'll grab my 2015 SQ5 settings later pal

Hello, sorry for the delayed response as I only got round to trying them this morning due to various bits and bobs! But yes this coding worked perfectly but it wasn't as straight forward as coding only. Thanks for the coding though, I really appreciate it :)

So, here is my findings which is hopefully useful to someone in the future. As above, in order to view these settings in Module 46, the password 16017 must be used.

Coding
Green is coding that remained the same and Red is coding that needed changing.
Once the coding has been changed, the negative terminal MUST be removed for 10 minutes or it simply does not work. This is something that has had me going round in circles for a fair bit time!

Wiring
I purchased 1 ROW spec light and 1 US spec light and then changed the indicator LEDs from Red to Amber, so I found the wiring differences for both lights which is shown below. The wiring is shown from the tail light to the body

ROW Spec Tail Light
Orange (Pin 1 - Pin 3)
Red (Pin 2 - Pin 2) *
Yellow (Pin 3 - Pin 1) *
Black (Pin 4 - Pin 4)

US Spec Tail Light
Orange (Pin 1 - Pin 3)
Red (Pin 2 - Pin 1) *
Yellow (Pin 3 - Pin 2) *
Black (Pin 4 - Pin 4)

The difference between the two is that the brake light flashes with the indicator in the US where as the ROW spec they work independently.
