I am due my second years service on the S3.
Oil / Filter.
Pollen Filter.
Inspection Service.
Anyone know the going rate for the work from dealerships in the North East ?

When I had mine these were the quotes.

Pulled from my post at the time:

Quotes so far:
Cheshire Oaks Audi: £365
Crewe Audi: £401.19
Liverpool Audi: £439.80, then they added air con service is due as well after 2 years @ £59.98
I went to an Audi specialist and got the lot for £220.

Audi dealer pricing is a total joke and one of the reasons I am moving away from Audi.

Audi are not unusual, I think you will find most main dealer prices make your eyes water.
When I collected my new 19 plate I asked about service contracts and was told none available. A couple of weeks ago I noticed this had changed. It would appear the £468 that I'm paying for a 2 service contract might be quite reasonable. This is 24 months at £19.50.

Just had car in for the service at cost of £400 !
Checked the labour rates against last years invoice and guess what, an increase of £41 per hour.

Sorry, but more fool you for paying that!

As long as Audi dealers are charging this amount and people are accepting these ridiculous charges, they will keep charging like this.

Audi Edinburgh wanted £310 for first variable service and inspection but were happy to price match at £140. Total rip off.

That's who I used :) Martin is a good guy and only charged me £220 using genuine Audi parts...the sports car specialist that I sold the car to was more than happy that I'd used him..

It was a bit late to ask this question when your car was already booked in for the following morning.
You seemed surprised at the £400 they charged you, but you should have known this figure in advance.
I agree it was far too much....and that's putting it politely.

Getting silly isn't it, my A5 is due its 2nd service at the end of October, I'm only on 5,800 mile now! I just looked at my Digital Service Schedule to see what I was on last year:
Serv

So I've covered 2,518 mile in 9 months, it would be cheaper for me to just get rid of the car and pay for a taxi lol :)

I think you misunderstand his comment, I don't things he's having a pop at you personally, I think he means the cost of the servicing in general.

As above I wasn't having a go at you...just saying what I see. :innocent:
Main dealer servicing costs are atrocious....and that's assuming you are actually getting everything you are paying for, but lets not go there. :fearscream:
I have only had one service to date on my S3 - it was the very first annual one so basically just an oil and filter change. Cost at my Audi main dealer for this service in June of this year was £174.
I am already dreading finding out the cost of what the combined oil change/inspection service is going to be next year.

My oil / filter last August at main dealer came to £207 for which the labour rate was invoiced at £82.10.
The labour rate for my above mentioned service was £123.67.
The percentage increase in one year is what I am moaning about. I suspect that the senior service advisor (left the dealership recently) was doing his own thing on pricing.
I am sure he was giving me rates for car over 3 years old.

I have been ringing dealers in Yorkshire and not got below £300 on a first oil change and inspection on an S3

Wakefield and Leeds quoted £450, Leeds claim 5.7 litres of engine oil costs £120!!!

Complete joke

Go to a trusted independent.

Audi dealers cannot be allowed to get away with this!
