I mean every Audi 8p owner can express on this matter, the car was ******* built with literally no space to put anything especially cups.

It's like they forgot about the cupholders when designing the car until last minute where they were like lets put it under the centre console

The cup holders under the centre console are so trash, can't even fit a small drink in their yet alone a big one.

I have seen a cupholder that you can retrofit and replace it with the card tray, the thing is but I like keeping my cards in there.

The one in the back is handy but not useful when solo driving.

Has anyone come up with some cool or effective ways to fit cups in the car?

I'm looking for a sandwich holder to go with my cup holder - anyone seen anything on t'interweb? :whistle2:

Quite why people need to eat and drink, watch TV, make phone calls and Video everyone else while they try and drive at the same time beats me.

I came up behind a Honda estate on the M25 the other day in the outside lane, he was doing 60mph and kept dropping to 50mph and was straddling the outside and middle lane, a few others under took him but i sat it out, flashed him a few times and eventually he moved over . As i went past he was trying to open a pack of sandwiches on top of his steering wheel and his head was cocked over with his phone on his shoulder....
I really think eating , drinking and phones should be classed as driving without due care and attention.

Having cup holders in cars usually ends up with more drinks being spilt compared to cars without them. Never had the problem with cars of the 60’s & 70s as they ever had cup holders.

£400 for 2 cup holder man talk about value for the money

£400 could easily be used towards some sort of performance part.

So say if you have a can of a drink how do you hold it while driving?

I'm constantly having to place it on a flat surface and hold it with 1 hand on turns to make sure it doesn't fall.

Don’t t drink out of cans, EVER!
It’s a German thing and I’m Half German. They also do not cut potatoes with a knife, Just a couple of rules of German etiquette, strange but true.

Don't drink and eat and drive...if the law see you swigging from a can you will get pulled for driving without due care and attention. There was a woman in the paper the other day who was done for eating an apple while driving. If you are holding a can or an apple you cant have both hands on the wheel.

The law on this side of the country is so relaxed, I go 40 on a 20 road in front of them and they don't do anything.

Been driving with 1 headlight in the night for almost 2/3 months and still haven't been pulled, I've had patrol cars just drive past me.

So much more they could have pulled me for but they don't, I mean they are more focused on the drug dealers and country roads rather than drivers.

I like it here for that reason :)

and yes how do germans cut potatoes.

That’s so true mate , but on a road trip with the Mrs when she can’t be ars*d to hold her drink even though I’m driving and she’s sat doing nothing useful, I’d happily drop £400 sometimes

So you knowingly drive around in an unroadworthy vehicle and speed in 20 mph zones that are 20 for a reason, at twice the limit, which, if caught is a ban.

You sound very immature and I hope the law catches you one day.

Lool, I don't know why you have the impression that my car is unroadworthy at all. despite the fact, one of my headlights burned my housing and now a headlight doesn't fit it, I haven't been intentionally driving around with 1 headlight.

Plus I try not to drive in the night until I get a new housing but occasionally I do have to make the odd journey.

On top of that, I have my DRL on along with my neon underglow so there is no way someone won't see me coming. Audi's automatically turn on the sidelight as well when a headlight isn't working.

No, I don't speed for no reason, the road was clear with enough space and sight to see, 40mph on that road was reasonable and therefore the police didn't decide to pull me over.

Everyone knows the 20mph speed limit is unreasonable in some areas especially around the bristol area where most of these roads were 30/40 before.

The mayor made pretty much all roads 20 so they can place mobile speed cameras everywhere and make an income :(

At the end of the day im only 18 with my first car so what do you expect, being 18, working full time and looking after 2 sick parents and 3 siblings is what I have to do.

I cant go buy and fix everything instantly as my money is needed to support the family.

But man you don't sound too nice, rather than hoping bad on me, you could have just said to me slow down and get your light fixed.

For someone who has 2 nices audis, I'm surprised you drive like a granny.

Experience has taught me to drive appropriately. 20 in a 40 is not. Think of the consequences.

I could own a Ferrari. Just because I do doesn’t mean I have to rag it everywhere.

On reflection my post was a tad abrupt, but I stand by what I said, I could have phrased it better.

I know Bristol quite well, just because you think the limit is unreasonable, no matter the situation if you get caught you can’t justify speeding. The limit is there for a reason.

Shocking internal design, one regular size and one red bull size under the armrest!

I 3D printed one of these which happily fits a regular size can:

That is wicked man, smart design.

Well done!

Just make some aesthetic changes, polish it up and you could be selling this on eBay.

I bet there would be loads of people who would buy.

Hey thanks, I didn’t design it I just found it online when looking for a solution but if others have the option to 3D print then it is free to download. Otherwise I could print one for time, materials and postage cost.

I also found on the site a phone holder that sits in the CD tray which was pretty cool but what I was really looking for was a little separator that goes inside the armrest to stop stuff getting stuck under the lid arms! I may just model one myself when I have a bit more time.

Remove the three switches next to the card holder and fit a cup holder in the slot.

Leave them Plugged in but pushed behind the HVAC

OEM hack since they are removable to swap between LHD/RHD
