Is there enough space to fit either a space saver or a spare wheel under the floor or the boot in a saloon A4?

I didn't know that using the foam puncture kids essentially destroys the tyre. If its the case of getting a spare wheel for a £100 or potentially running a £130 tyre, I'd rather pay for a spare wheel I may never use.

Well theres a spare already in the boot of your saloon no?

But defo room for 1 as a had 2009 and currently 2012 all have had space savers in boot

There seems to be plenty of room, but will anything get in the way?

I think I found the answer. I need to get another toolkit, battery cover and then the wheel and it will work

Thanks everyone
There was someone selling the whole set of tool kit, battery cover and wheel for £130 so I got it. It worked out cheaper then buying each part separately.

Years ago I was told the spray puncture kits could be washed out and your tyre repaired. I understand that's not the case now. :( Least with a spare wheel I wont ruin a good tyre by a simple puncture like on my wife's car today :(

Had some tyre weld in one of the rear tyres on my old B7 for over 2 years without any issues.

Worked a treat and did what it said on the tin but never perished the rubber.

I don't think the issue is perishing the rubber. I believe the tyre fitters issue was its not easy to remove to sealant from the typre and due to the residue of the sealant the puncture repair is less likely to stick.

Having said that, I found the Holts tyre sealant website and they use a water based solution so it washes away with just water.
