very hard to describe the situation.
Owned the car a year now, always had a low idle around 640rpm sometimes when you sit in the car you can feel it shake a little, feels like a splutter/very slight misfire. Drives absolutely fine.
If I raise the Revs till about 750 I can’t feel the shake.
Some mornings I go to the car it’ll start and it sits at about 1100rpm for a couple minutes and returns to idle no idea why, seems to do it most of all when it’s sat in the sun. No real pattern to it might go weeks without doing it and then do it every day.
Twice I’ve gone to start the car and it’s spluttered and cut out, then you switch it on again and it’s fine.
I feel as if all these issues are connected and it feels like an ignition problem.

No errors codes
All coils/plugs replaced
Throttle body was cleaned even though
It was not dirty
Anyone have any suggestions?

Tfsi 1.4

Check your air intake for any leaks. Maybe a vacuum leak somewhere. I would especially check there is a good seal around the throttle body as it been cleaned.

Might be worth just taking then off, inspecting them and attaching back up tight.

Where abouts are you located

Because a scan can bring up codes, which might relate but not set off a check engine light

Ipswich mate, I’ll try and use my mates obd 11 tool when I can and see what’s what,
I have also replaced the roller ball thing
In the direct injection pump which sits on the camshaft and made
No difference just a bit quieter

Ah if u was in the midlands you could used my vcds Kit. Also I’m guessing you are referring to your cam follower for the hpfp.

Have a look around your PCV vacuum hoses for any signs of oil leaks or splatter.
I had a hairline crack in one of mine, and although I didn't get any idle issues, under load it was leaking oil so it would have got worse over time and probably caused a poor idle in the long run.

My missus is from cov so I’m up there sometimes, and yes it’s the cam follwer that has been replaced.
@ Davey you mention oil I did have to top it up a litre the other week for the first time since I’ve owned it, it may be related

I’m in Leicester, so if you near any time, shoot me a message

Still got this issue and I’ve been doing a lot of research into carbon cleaning apparently the direct injection engines suffer bad from carbon clean therefore valves could not be searing properly hence needing a carbon clean?

I’ve been told a walnut blast would be needed.
All live data checked from sensors etc and seem all okay

Before you get a carbon clean I would check your mileage as there could be no point as it could have nothing to do with your problem , stick a genuine vcd's cable on it and go to module #1 engine and check your fuel rails , research ( ross- tech video's ) where it will give you an understanding and it could maybe put you on the road to recovery before you go to the last stop injectors , Btw RTech recondition them for a decent price so maybe if you go down that route look them up on FB or the net

Before trying that, it might be worth running some redex fuel system cleaner to help remove some despots, I’ve did this on mine and yes it ran better, especially if you use supermarket fuel.
