Hi All... new member here. Picked up my new S-Line Avant (glacier white, tech pack, privacy glass, sports steering wheel and 20" wheels) from Sytner in Nottingham last week. Have had Audi's for the past 25 years and the last one I p/ex'd was a 2014 Black Edition Ultra Saloon which I'd had from new. I love the new car but was disappointed to find what I assume is a collapsible spare wheel. I still have the space saver from the 2014 BE and wonder if this is compatible with the new car?? The tyre size/profile of the old BE was 255 x 35 x 20 and the new one is 255 x 40 x 20. The size of the space saver is T145 x 60R x 20 .

It is a right pain not having a spare wheel like the spacesaver. was unfortunate to get a puntcer recently and the tyre was completely deflated. tried the sealant first but found it useless, had to wait till a neighbour brought a wheel to me from my home where i had a set of 20" from my last a6.

I would have called Audi Assist as the majority, if not all, carry spacesaver wheels for you to carry on with your journey. Unfortunately spare wheels are a thing of the past...

Hi ... thanks for your replies.. The image shows what's in the back of my car and I think if I take the plastic centre doughnut out, along with the compressor and foam pack, my space saver will fit. I'm just curious about why the centre doughnut has wires going to it and what happens if I unplug it to remove it??

Thanks again.

Yep, sub woofer, it may well fit into the centre of a spacesaver though if you remove the foam blocks for the compressor and tyre repair kit. Certainly the centre spigot looks long enough. widgey would need to try one..

Thanks for your help... I got there in the end. Yes the sub-woofer is in there and it all fits as suggested... :thumbs up:

Thanks again,

Hi Widgey,

Where did you source the space saver from?

Cheers
