Facelift New Avant, couple of Qusetions....

The A3 used to have rear drls,as in the rear lights were on all the time. The A4 doesnt seem to do this, is this the same on all A4's?

Yes, the rear lights are different from the A3 and don’t come on until the sidelights/headlights are on. I noticed a friends S3 had the rears on with just the DRLs a while back and we checked mine then.

There’s actually two compartments in the rear and the little tool is in the one closer to the front of the car. So if you lift the one that has the spare wheel under it, you can then also lift up the carpeted section that it meets which is hinges and has various tools like the jack and the tool you’re asking about.

I thinking the loud beep is just to warn you you’re in reverse, don’t know what else...

Seems your other two questions were answered, however mine doesn’t do this Must be a setting in the MMI to turn the volume of the alert up and down, perhaps yours is maxed out.

Whilst in reverse click upon the right centre console button, this will give you the options...

You can do the same on the A4 by simply enabling the rear DLR option using VCDS or OBD11. I had this done on my A4, not a big deal

I thought they were with the my19 models...
