So.. I’m fairly new here.

Previously just got a new job and needed a bit more space to transport things and need a bit more of a fuel economical motor. I wanted a car with a few interior luxuries such as heated seats leather etc.

Iv mainly had Hatchbacks and not long sold my 525i and one of the lowest millage e39 bmw M5’s in the country.

I’m from West Sussex

Here’s the motor very high millage

So here was the car from the day I picked it up.

Traveled to London and brought it the same day!

Noticed a few things on the interior had been broken off or snapped so I got round to fixing them. Consisted of replacing the cup holder as the old one was stuck shut and broken.

Ordered a new one now this works and I use it almost every day.

The coin tray was also stuck shut it managed to fix this now works flawlessly don’t ever use this really

Iv recently noticed the arm rest catch the upper piece has gone so I’m going to have to find a replacement for that

Also the glove box didn’t open and turns out Iv got the dreaded broken pin slide that enables you to open it. Ordered a cheap one and it turned out to be a LHD part which is no good so on the hunt for another one of those. And to my amazement I found I had a cool fridge thing in the glove box like that !

Not really a fan of them being taken off?

Oh yes and the private plate went on too I’m looking at getting rid of those horrible holders soon !!!

There so many plates to choose from pressed, jell , 3D 4d with gell, long, short. Thinking of going 4d jell short plate front and back soon ?

What is the mileage?
The engines are good but some earlier ones had cam chain tensioner failures.
Does it rattle a bit on start up?

I Had the old wiper flop going on the back and Iv never had a wiper on any of my
Other cars either not been there or taken off so meh I don’t need that. That got taken off and replaced with a rubber double seal bung. However I have now seen like glass kits that look a lot cleaner may look into this in the future

Looking at either getting a second set of bars or getting the ones Iv got Iv and powder coated glossy black to quite soon to match the window trims really not a fan of the silver/chrome surrounds maybe on an all black car the look okiesh but personally don’t like them.

Looks good, where do the black trims come from and are they easy to fit?

The mileage is 166k I think ? Not that I can hear no it’s got a slight intermittent egr code that flags up now and then but future plans include

FMI, exhaust , egr delete with appropriate mapping and a few other deletes.

Runs like a peach great mpg and uses hardly any oil !

Admittedly the trims were wrapped in glossy black by a company called Moto Fx not the cheapest company but by far one of the best for sure ! Extremely busy company mind

Good luck on finding a RHD glovebox handle

As of last month Audi UK only had 3 in stock without the lock hole and they want £40 for one

They have none in stock with the lock hole and they are on back order with no idea when they will be available

I was lucky and a brand new genuine RHD one with lock hole came up on eBay for £25 so worth keeping an eye out

Also when i posted on here about the trouble finding a glovebox handle another member said he had one he might be willing to sell, might be worth doing a search for the post and having a chat with him

Not bothered if it has a lock or not tbh, and yep Iv messaged a few people but they even lost it sent it off with the car or things I’m sure one will turn up !

Love the de badged look on cars and keeping the rings is the best way, it just looks like you have had the tailgate painted and not built back up yet if you dont at least have the manufactures badge.

Ive seen the glass blanking plates for the wiper you mentioned and they are a brilliant bit of kit really do give a clean look.

FYI, EGR code could mean that intake manifold needs cleaning, at least that was the case for me when I bought my B7 3.0 TDi. The part of intake where EGR connects has two hole design and one of them was blocked off. Cleaned it with gasoline. No EGR code for 3 years already.

Can you pm more details on your cleaning process please and what you used exactly. That would be great I’ll happily give it a go do you need to replace the seals ?

Gave the motor it’s first “quick” wash since I brought the car just haven’t had the time to really set aside to do it until today

I can’t think of a better reason to have honeycomb fog lights venting.

Found this stuck on my intercooler n/s tucked away in there BIG D

The Audi driver rep is so bad! honestly I hardly use my car now for anything but work so when I’m driving I’m almost always in uniform so not great to enhance the Audi driver stigma

When I was checking things inside the engine bay and just general daily inspections I came across a **** ton of leafs and stuff and I could still see some behind the bumper is it easy to remove ? I’m sure there’s a few videos on YouTube for front bumper removal ?
