MyAudi App, location?

hi all

Passed by my local Audi service centre today and got them to assign me as the owner of my car on the MyAudi Portal. When I picked the car up, it was mentioned that the location service could be used not just as a ‘destination send to car’ feature, but also as a tracker, as I’ve seen done in BMs.... is this right? I can’t seem to work out how to ‘locate’ the car....

What other features does the app allow?

On the A3 platform? From what I remember the features are close to nil apart from seeing number of days/miles to the next service, and sending destination to car.

Location (if a feature is a seperate tab on the app) per the attached.

The My Audi App is just crap for the A3/S3, and does nothing other than what Adam14 states. The location feature is actually the location of the phone, not the car .

I seem to remember it is the last position of the phone when the car is switched off...

Doenst save the car location for me,even with all location settings to "always tracking". Only googlemaps or apple maps does this for me.

The app is useless but its a must to send destinations. Apart from that its pointless for the A3.

Not sure on the location thing, not sure if what you said above is about the A3 platform, but on the S5(A5) platform it definitely is the location of the car instead of the phone.

This still working on yours mate? Just opened my app and can't see it anymore!!!

Yup still working. Shows mileage, oil level, door status and all that jazz! Location working as well. Can PM a screenshot if needed mate

No it's OK, just wondering if something has run out on mine that was only free for so long?!?!?

EDIT*** lol it's OK just found it My alarm was triggered in work the other day and I got an alert, so it was still on the alarm screen, my thumb was hovering over the icons at the bottom to switch to map view and I couldn't see them
