Hi just picked up my FL RS3 last Monday  traded in my PFL A45 AMG for it and have to say i am delighted with the RS3 :thumbs up:. My question is.....

Does anyone have the CETE AVC fitted along with a REVO stage 1?

Is it still worth doing or does the REVO stage 1 map program to open the valves permanently in Dynamic to not bother with the AVC for the exhaust flaps?

Cheers

Revo stage 1 means valves permanently open in dynamic. I had Revo on and loved it.

Valves are open in sport mode - so that's dynamic and in any mode when dropped into S mode on the gearbox.

Can this be mapped in on a pfl car so when in dynamic they are permanently open ??

I thought valves can't be coded open eg you need a manual something to open and shut them?

Ok cheers lads. So if i go down the route of Revo stage 1 probably no point in the AVC then?

Take it with Revo stage 1 in individual mode and everything set to comfort but exhaust set to dynamic the flaps will be permanently open too? That is my only gripe about the car that if you want some low speed exhaust noise you cant.

Correct. Engine in dynamic even if you then go back to D from S they are open.

Cheers perfect for the info! just to decide between the Revo map and AVC now... If i go Revo stage 1 also going to change the inter cooler to the wagner evo1 and put in a k&n panel filter :icon thumright:

How does the stage 1 affect the insurance? The provider would have to be notified right?

Yeah you should inform your insurance for every modification.
When I told my insurance about my remap is went up £70 and £15 of that's admin fee.

That's not bad mark up at all! What did you tell them though as the options I see is 'engine chip' which this technically is not.

I insure with Chris Knott and always speak to an advisor who asked total bhp and they usually workout the increase percentage.
All the online forms say chipped so best to speak to them
