I appreciate this won’t be to everyone’s taste but I am loving my new puddle lights from standard light to RS3 lights!

Everyone that sees them comments on them. Brilliant for the money.

I paid about £13/14 off eBay. The real ones of the Audi rings are about £99 direct from Audi!

Late to the party lads but your not alone:tearsofjoy:

Gets compliments from passengers especially late night drives

I’m sure there was a discussion on these a while back and concern with the cheap ones, they generate a lot of heat and that’s the only reason why I haven’t bought any for my rear doors as the fronts were standard. If I got some, I’d probably go for the Audi ones to be safe.

I know an owner who bought the cheap ones....... he took them off after a while because they didn’t project a crisp image like oem and they were getting very warm in use.

Thanks - I will monitor. Currently my doors are not open long enough for them to get hot!

That’s one thing I thought of yes, unlikely they are open long enough to get that hot but I’d definitely drop one out and leave it on for a few minutes to see how hot they get.

Only extended period of time would be when cleaning the car etc.

Do you need extended wires to fit the rear ones ?

If your car already has rear puddle lights then it’s just remove the old one and fit the new.
Although there’s not much room to play with on the original harness

I’ll keep an eye on my ones then regarding the heat issue. Good to know, cheers

I have the RS type puddle lights up front and Audi rings in the back doors, they are oem and I had to take one out and take it from me after a few minutes the heat sink gets so hot it burnt my hand.
