Hi
First of all apologies if im posting in the wrong section.
And Im turning to this forum for any explanation as so difficult to explain to Audi and possibly get it resolved.
I have bought a used 4 months old S3.
The problem happens only once on a very very cold morning.
I reverse out of my drive onto a bit of a hill then I turn the wheel to go down the hill very slowly ad im a careful driver ( being as im in my 50s lol). So hard to explain but right hand side sounds like coming from underneath car kind of does like a " kangaroo" thing. Like an intermittent five point turn. Like its not turning smoothly. I dont like it as I feel it could poss skid in snow etc and I have to bypass a lampost. My last s3 did exact same- only one time only per day and always on a mega cold day upon first start . Sometimes both cars ( this new one has done it twice now) upon first reversing makes a split second bang at the front. Sorry really difficult to explain. Does anyone know what I mean?
Much appreciated any advice etc as i know its going to be hard for technician to find this fault.
Im getting to hate this car.

Traction control kicking in on a slight hill which this time of year would most likely be damp to slightly icy first thing ...so sounds perfectly normal to me.

Get the same pulling off a damp block paved drive down a very slight drop in my latest toy :)

Thank you for reply - i have something to go on now.
But normal? O I dont like sound of that.
Its my mid life crisis car S3 and has been for 2 years.
**** yasen now folks - I darnt go beyond 60 mph on a dual carriageway and I wouldnt go on a motorway if my life depended on it

I ended up changing the low profile tyres which were Pirelli to Michelin cross climate in case there were snow etc.
Funnily enough although no snow this winter I have never had this problem again- ever not once.

I hope I drive it like I stole it when I’m 50 although I do know that if I tried to drive now the way I drove when I was 18-20 years of age that I would most likely be dead. I don’t know how I did it but I could make run of the mill not great handling cars go round bends at silly speeds.

I had no fear when I was younger speeding down that motorway at top speed lol. An accident shook me up so much (fatal and not my fault) i never been again on a motorway for 30 years and never will but I love my S3 cus its not completely wasted on me. Even as u know driving around suburban its a thrill n a dif experience to a lesser engine. I do break law sometimes lol- 40mph in a 30mph (not residential area tho). It suits me this car for my driving style. I hate silly dickheads that show off - or try to. End of day its not exactly something like a ferrari - just a cheap audi kind of sports car. I luv it.

Aye, you need to give it a blast every now and again. I would give it a wee bit out in the country mainly. I’m hardly on the motorway these days since I changed jobs and I’ve noticed I don’t push it the way I used to. I think it’s physiological in that I don’t want points so I just accelerate hard and go over the limits by a handleful of MPH. Not enough to get done for. I can’t stand it when you accelerate hard off a set of traffic lights and sit at say 45mph in a 40 zone and have a good couple of hundred yard lead on some balloon sitting in the right hand lane with no one in the left hand lane and they just have to speed to catch you up and then move to the left hand lane and then slow down to 45mph say 4 / 5 car lengths in front of you. Why?? Just have to be near me, can’t live without me. Moon beams should content themselves and use the left hand lane the way they are supposed to. But anyway, sorry that was a bit of a rant on your thread. Time for a Chinese.
