Soundaktor on or off or lowered?

Anyone turned off there soundaktor? Or turned it down, (volume) want to no whatthe difference is, can you hear More pops in sport mode if you turn it fully off, is there any benefits for having it on?
 
Mine is off as well, one of the first vcds changes I made when I bought my car (after disabling the exhaust flaps).
 
Cheers guys wish I had vcds for the flaps but I’m a tight mf and got Carista :yahoo:

Turned mine off as well. Since I have the res delete option and valves open, I find I do not need the fake sound pumped into the cabin.

Does turning it off make the car quieter then? I've got res delete and valves open but I wouldn't want the car quieter even if it is fake sound or whatever.

I used carista to turn it off once but I don't think it worked as I noticed no difference.

The view I’ve got onit is that turning it off just makes it quieter in the cab? I’ve just turned it off and about to do a motorway trip today so should be able to really tell the difference.
