I wonder if anyone can help with this and its a bit of a long one..

my front left wheel or suspension started making a noise over the last 6 months or so, sometimes a thud, other times more of a cracking noise when reversing on to my drive or into my garage and the wheel is on full lock to the left but not every time (wheel alignment doesn't last long also)

explained this to audi when it got sent in for a full service at the end of march and they found nothing wrong. they put it down to an apparent common quattro noise.. plus the alignment is my driving as I do like to make use of the quattro from a set of lights but only up to the speed limit of course.. :whistle2: (only used launch control 5/6 times over the last 2 years of owning it)

the last few weeks it just doesn't feel like the front left is connected to the car at all.. like it has a mind of its own and the car is pulling all over the place under acceleration. also when going over a speed bump it feels like the left tyre is near enough flat and the right is inflated yet both are exactly the same psi. (checked countless times)

today it went in to a local garage to have all new discs/pads fitted then an mot and it passed.

now this evening after picking it up I decided to start bedding the brakes in down quite country lanes. every time I accelerated hard from a stop or around 5mph on several different roads the front left wheel and that alone wasn't gripping at all and the traction control was fighting to get it to grip all the way up until about 40/45mph and it felt like the tyre was flat so I checked the tyres and they're all what they're supposed to be yet again.

its a 2011 dsg with 38000 miles

thanks
