exhaust bypass valve

So, I have been wanting to change my exhaust set up for a while, and I think that a exhaust bypass valve would the best option for me, as it retains the quiteness, and goes loud with the press of a button.

Now my doubt is, with stock exhaust, where is the best section to install it? If you happen to have this setup I'd be grateful if you could share some pictures!
 
I bet easiest could be to install right when the pipe straighten underneat of car, preferably becore cat if you got one. Why? well you could get bit more hp if you bypass cat :p
But dont do that if you have lambda sensor after cat!
