Hello

I am just new to this Forum so sorry if this question has been asked many times. I am looking for a pair of SE front struts for my 2011 B8 ,my confusion is that when I look around on various sites I see the front Shock abssober Part number 8T0413031AF commonly being listed for SE and S Line .I find this odd given that SE is meant to be softer. Is there any way that I can categorically identify an SE Strut/Absorber eg another part number ,number of spring coils or length of strut.

Just check a few car spares sites, auto doc, euro car parts etc and stick your reg in and compare part numbers you should be able to work the right one out that way. The s line might have the same shock and different springs but that's just an assumption.

Pretty sure it's just the springs that are lower

There are 19 diffrent variations of front shock so getting VIN matched is essential to get the correct one.

OK thanks guys I should have said that I have a Technik that unfortunately for me was optioned up with Sport 1BE Suspension . I am able to source rear shocks and springs (yes defiantly longer than sport) but what I am trying to do is to be able to correctly identify font SE shocks/springs .Would be good to know if diff between between SE and S LINE is just spring length and rate however I would have thought damping would also be firmer on S Line.
