What Detailing / Car Care Products Have You Bought / Ordered Today?

Screwfix have the same deal this weekend, which is fortunate as the one I had delivered from the Karcher Outlet earlier this week turned out to be an incontinent basket case. First time I turned it on it immediately started leaking heavily from the hose connection in the hose reel. Poor show Karcher Outlet, and it’s going back for a full refund.

Picked up a new one (with 3 year warranty) from Screwfix last night on the way home from work for pretty much the same price, and this one actually works.

Ordered a longer 10m hose for the K4 and some Hose-eez from Amazon today...

There are a few things I have never bought and/or touched if second-hand:

1- Electronics
2- Car Parts, and
3- Women

Not worth it second-hand imho

Can't open the link BH but I managed to find a thread on DW where it was tested by WHIZZER on his SQ5. And it appears to be the same as Spray +Seal; Spray on and rinse off, which is exactly what this is. Shall we try it then??

So like CarPro Hydro2?

I'm thinking about putting in a fair order , Das 6 Pro plus , Menzerna polish,, Sonax Compound and CG Quantum pads . Comes to a fair bit of dollar . Everything available in one place CYC. Just wondered if anyone knows of a discount code for them ?

That is some order scotty. It is a pain at times to get stuff in one place, as I am sure you have found. Hope the above code works, I can’t help on that front unfortunately

I would like to say yes however, it doesn't have the CP's longevity. Believe it would need to be tested to find out but then you can get Hydro2 / Wetcoat for pretty much the same price.

Order in to CYC £186 after the discount code Mike provided. Can't wait to get my hands on the Das6 Pro Plus.

Going to be selling my Halfords DA Polisher for £40 including postage if anyone knows someone looking. Perfect working order , ideal for someone wanting to give machine polishing a go before shelling out for something more expensive.

Fur me it was definitely time to upgrade .

Nice haul mate. Can I just ask why Yellow pads. Are there some serious scratches/swirls on the car as it is a Heavy Cutting pad.

Just washed and coated the car with this Sonax Spray + Protect. Nothing else used.
Very quick process. Got to say first impressions look good!

They do seem to do really good products, even their windscreen wash is great

Lol ...... Certainly hoping so mate . Heard only good things about the Pro Plus. With that and the compounds etc you've suggested I reckon I should be on to a much much better finish . I'm sure I'll be happy ....... Eventually.

The FLEX XFE 7-15-150....v The Das6 Pro Plus
Flex= far more quiet............ear plugs required with the DAS6....Pro Plus
Flex= Has higher quality internals and looks and feels better, think the Flex is slightly lighter in weight
Flex will correct paint quicker in the right hands due to its higher spinning motor
Flex is over twice the price of the DAS6 Pro Plus
Both will achieve the same results

My current DA had served me well but I'm committed to machine polishing the car now , not just one of those passing fads.

As any engineer would agree , good tools as well as skills to do a good job and to do it more easily . If love to have gone for the Flex but I'm sure the Pro Plus won't disappoint. Time will tell.

Already been using your tip for cleaning pads a long while @jassyo06, again top advice.

I'm hoping so Nev Kind of put myself in Master Yoda's spotlight now after all his advice ....... If it doesn't look right I reckon he'll be heading down from Scotland to club me with the Das6.

Taking kit and compounds up a notch so as @jassyo06 said earlier , just need to take the time with it .
