Hi,i have just purchased a A3 convertible 1.6tdi 2011 and it appears not to have a aux connection,however i have found what looks like a ipod dock connection in the glove box could anyone shed any light as to how it can be used etc ,it is the old looking type not the lightning ones you have now ..Any help would be appreciated Thanks

You could add the bt 32pin adapter & use as the virtual cd changer & get wireless audio.

Thanks for the reply ,i am not to well up on the new gadgets for cars ,however i used to have a power cable (charger) and a aux cable plugged in to my iphone 6 and used aux on my headunit in my bmw ,basicaly i would like to do the same with this set up if possible so i can use my spotify
I've got the same thing in my glovebox and also a cable that one end is like the female old apple connection (32 pin) and the other end is lightning connection + aux... but I can't find anyone with small enough hands or the dexterity to plug the cable in!
It could be worth getting in contact with Audi parts or Crewe on site to see if there is anything they can do by given them your reg and explaining you situation , just a thought
