Hi,
I have been with my daughter who was purchasing a very nice used TT advertised as “Audi TT 1.8 TFSI sport (Tech Pack). During testing it was apparent there was no SatNav installed and after questioning this we were advised rather unclearly that it was just associated with the sport and not actually a tech pack:blink:
Well she went ahead and purchased the car as she loves it but I still feel a bit confused/stiffed as to my mind the advert was quite clearly stating tech pack . I have mentioned this to the dealership customer experience team and await their response but does anyone have a view as to what may be an acceptable outcome?
Thanks.

So if I've got this right:
  • Car was advertised with Tech Pack
  • Prior to purchase, she was informed that it didn't actually have Tech Pack
  • She went ahead and bought it anyway
If the above is right then an acceptable outcome would be an apology for an inaccurate advert. They made a mistake. Told her as much and she bought it anyway. What do YOU think is an acceptable outcome??

Well I have no preconceived ideas tbh. I await the dealership response as indicated earlier but there appeared to be no mention from them of there being a mistake but rather a statement to the effect that it was part of the sport version hence my puzzlement. I chose not to press matters as the sales person was very pleasant and my daughter really likes the car. An apology would be nice of course as you say.

I think you'll only get a shrug of the shoulders, they will say mistakes happen but we gave you the option not to continue with the purchase anyway. Sure you might get an apology but that gets you nothing..
