What Car Care / Detailing Have You Done Today ?

@Adam14 -

that seems expensive to me mate
You may be worth having a check over on DW for recommended Detailers
Hmmm alright, not sure what image you uploaded but doesn't seem to load for me! I didn't think the price was too bad compared to the cost of the products (+ their labour costs etc).

That's why I am looking for someone to do it. Don't have access to a garage, not even a friend has one big enough to be able to do it, so would want it done properly.

Can be done under a gazebo too mate

Fair point, neighbours will fully think I'm mad then Would have to find one.

Reckon most of our neighbors must think were mad , all the car detailing and photos

No scotty, not touched either car. Been entertaining friends BBQ style.

Not sure about calipers at all this weekend, maybe next week.

Audi rings arrived today so will compare those to S or S Line or none when they are done.
Save me a burger Nev

Talking of neighbours and car care I have no off road parking with my terraced house so pampering my car all takes place in full public view. Upside is a really great opportunity to meet old and new neighbours; amazing how many stop to discuss cars and stuff. Only downside is how many say make mine look the same when you have finished. Nope sorry I just clean my one. Mind if I needed the money I could have a small business.

Can relate to this . Fella stopped me the other weekend and asked how much to do his car .... Reply , "it won't be cheap"

Flip side is when neighbours stop to chat and you really need to be getting on...either drying the car or rinsing off snow foams. Sometimes you gotta say "really sorry gotta go and finish the car".

Polished out some stubborn stains, marks and light scratches on the lights.

I get this as well but when I tell them £200 at least, they then give me a look of disgust and move on. I guess they think the cost should be the same as supermarket car washes...

Done the Mrs..... CAR that is lol it had been parked in woodlands for almost 2 weeks whilst we were away.... After a snow foam x2, a wash then some hydro lite 2 l noticed about half a dozen severe bird dump etching so out came the wee flex.... Used the compound that came with the kit, hadn't used it before it was flex own branded compound O5/05 is its name, ie cutting power 5 out 6 and gloss rating 5 out of 6, took the etchings right out good stuff indeed recommend, then proceeded to apply some UHD to the panels l polished

Thanks mate its been neglected for so long and its paint was in a very bad state of affair...before today....so its paint condition is back up to speed now,but l will never ever buy a car with a dark paint colour like this never ever tooo much work, marks so easily.....medium paint tones are far easier to work on and live with

So, you managed to get rid of the scratches on the MMI? I ask as I have this and the instrument cluster on the A3 has a lot of scratches. Might as well try it and see if it fixes anything

Top work as always pal. Difficult colour to maintain that, but an easy one to love. Hope you enjoyed not having a power cable draped over your shoulder. Must have been...liberating.

What did you use to apply it to the MMI screen with mate, as I know a machine polisher is best to use with plastic compound on exterior lights

Please share how you achieve this mate, as despite how careful I am with brushes and cloths, seems an impossible task like keeping piano black trim scratch free?
