I feel the need to change the old bus a bit more but still looking at something else bumper wise.
Had a DTM but never used it and sold it which was a mistake, tried a hofele item and wasn't impressed.
But found this one and it does get a good review and fit is very good, down side is that its only from the states so I will have to cough up duty and vat, anyway looks nice and I can use the pair of OEM rs4 B7 foglamp grilles I have sitting in the garage.
anyone else fitted or have experience of this item.

Sorry, can't offer any insight into the product, but looking at the pics I wondered whether it's an SE or S-Line grill fitment. Can't remember off-hand but had a feeling you're running a genuine RS4 grill. Is that definitely going to still fit?

its s-line fitment and uses s-line & rs4 grilles, also rs4 foglamp grilles, which I already have.
Have a feeling its ABS but will check, probably one of the nicer aftermarket items in my opinion.

Just been reading up, its PU so a lot more pliable than fibreglass bodywork.
First problem is that they don't do one with PDC option, they do it with or without headlamp wash but no PDC option.
Not the end of the world but would have been nice.

Looks nice Rob... What’s the damage on one of those?

Too much really , approx £600 inc shipping but duty & vat ontop of that so nearer £800 , then painting.
Cant decided wether it is worth the outlay, but then it would make a change from the s-line bumper.

The front PDC is a piece of cake to fit into the front bumper, just a case of cutting the holes and sticking on the sensor brackets.

That sounds way too straight forward for audi Alex, really that easy .

Yep i did myself when i had my front bumper painted. Unfortunately i have no piccys. You can buy a hole saw the correct size, i think its a 22mm not quite sure. Cut the hole before paint and clean up the edges with sand paper to finish off. You could probably buy new sensor holders with double sided tape on as per oem fitment and away you go. Failing that i just re-taped them

I replaced the number plate plinth with the verion with factory pre cut holes then you need 2 twist in style holders to slot into the grille.

I can second that I’ve done it hundreds of times just cut the hole clean it up as said then paint, I’ve always a couple blobs of 2 pack glue along with the double sided tape for reassurance but it is a piece of cake.

Adhesion promoter is a good product to use too for some extra stick!

Might treat myself today then if its a straight forward PDC glue in job, well the wife will as my bday today.

yep another year to add on....or knock off depending on your view point.:salute:

That deval bit lookds ace, but good god, that cost for a ****** bumper... might as well be a better idea going for the real RS4 bumper, wings for that price.

Don't you also need rs4 side skirts too? Then rear aches and rear bumper? Im sure its a case of rs4 parts being wide body specific

yes Tom but you'd need all the rs4 parts but the deval bumper is only £445.00 , it's the extras on top that kill's the deal, does look nice though.
I think i'll be organising one to be honest, just need to find the best deal etc.

yes Alex , you'd need all the parts which is not really the way i'd be wanting to go.
Just the deval bumper would be perfect.

Nice looking aftermarket front bumper that

It looks mint compared to these everybodys started fitting View attachment 182348
↑ This! I've started seeing a lot of those around too. Not an awful design per se, but too square and boxy on a B7 (which is all about the curves). I think Rob's find actually looks like it really belongs on the car!

Oh don't get me wrong Rob it's a brilliant looking one, I would love one too, just cant justify the price tag for bumper, that still needs to be prepared and painted.

I will agree with Rob, the Deval Bumper does look the nicest of the bunch. Hofele are a silly price, in fact most that look nice are not cheap!
Having to get the RS4 panels too puts it out of reach for most of us! :grimacing:

I've also read they don't fit well and need a bit of work, saw one where it didn't line up well just below the bonnet, didn't look nice at all in my opinion.
On the Avant, once fitted correctly, looks the part! :)

In parts I like the following bumper and then i don't!
As AlexMac says, too boxy, I think the fog light part flairs too much, doesn't match the lines/curves also mentioned!

Thanks for the input guys , allways very appreciated.
I was about to order one yesterday but our GSD came down very suddenly with twisted gut, completely out of the blue , anyway very touch and go last night but pulled through.
Left me with a £3k vet hospital bill so the bumper upgrades are on back burners for a while, but will still be doing it .
off to see the woofer now.

cheers

Hope the pooch is OK - only ever had GSD's myself and they can be a bit 'hi-maintenance' at times. Glad we insured ours, as 18 months ago, he developed epilepsy. Not nice, but at least his £110 a month medication is covered.

Back to the bumpers - the one that Al posted up looks a bit like my old A4 B7 - with the lower half of my old A6 C7's front bumper clagged to it.
Not sure if I like it, but if we all liked the same thing, etc...........

Yep , he's recovering well now, very touch and go when it happened as it was a case get him to surgery in minutes , not hours.
From what I was told the survival rate is very low with this illness and time is of utmost importance before all internal organs shut down and fail so we feel very lucky he pulled through.
If I get speed camera ticket in the post i'll be contesting that straight away on very good grounds.

Anyway back on track, I've had a good old read and the Deval is the best looking but can be problematic to fit , also the door to door cost is just still very high.
I'm going to go with another Hofele item, they are GRP with is not as good as PU but the styling is right and almost identical to the Deval bumper.
Kicking myself really as I purchased a hofele one a few years back but never fitted it , not sure why but sold it on in the end , going full circle really but that's life.
The Hofele bumper is a better fit well its prettywell straight on without messing around. I already have oem rs4 foglamp mesh grilles and another rs4 grille so i'm prettywell there really.
price wise I had a door to door price of £700, still not cheap but then what is these days.
