Hi all,

I’ve recently had my stock S3 exhaust refitted and can’t help notice the tips appear to hang a lot lower than they did originally - is this just in my head because I’m used to aftermarket exhausts filling the gaps more or do I have a problem?

Thank you :)

They're definitely sitting lower than they should.. I'd recheck the mounts...

Definitely lower mate, at the correct height there's about a hands width gap (just about), know this from polishing the exhaust tips.

Thanks guys! Annoying as this is at least I’m not going mad. Cheers :)

After fitting my res delete I’m convinced mine are marginally lower too. Can we have some rear end shots please to reassure me I’m not going mad

Managed to find a few @Marky79 unfortunately don't have any direct rear-end photos that aren't top down.

Cheers fellas mucho appreciated. I’ve just got this feeling something isn’t right with mine? I cut the pipe through the middle dot, and used new sleeves.

Don't waste your time going to the dealer. Lift the car and correct it yourself.

When I did the res delete I just took the exhaust off, much easier, and I could get the fitment 100% as I wanted afterwards - res delete or not.

Here's a picture that might help you if you want to do it yourself. Gives you an idea of where the brackets are placed.

You will need to pull the exhaust down where the bend enters the back box as it’s been cut! I had a similar problem with my Milltek.
