Hi,

Thinking about dpf remove and put a downpipe instead, so at any moment i can put the dpf again. I was thinking about keeping the EGR active, as i would like to keep emissions as low as possible without dpf. Any disadvantages of removing the dpf and keep the egr? Would it give me problems? Its a 2.0 tdi cr btw.

Thanks in advance

Mot FAILURE.

I was wanting to remove egr and keep dpf but apparently its needed for dpf for regens

But regardless of the mot failure, keeping the egr but removing the dpf can result in any mechanical problems?

Thanks

No just needs coded out to stop regens.

Had few with them removed.

You can't code out DPF - needs to be mapped out
He gets the point . . .

Then you will have to MAP it back in again when you went dpf reinstalled

So old map will need to be saved.

You local tuner will help you better than we can.

This just a guess, but I'm not sure the OP is UK-based. His local regulations and laws may be different.
