I live in Kent and own a my18 S3, now looking to upgrade to an RS3. Does anyone know of any dealers offering any discounts, because I have drawn a blank. They will offer a payment towards finance deals but I am a cash purchaser.

Take the car out on PCP, request a settlement figure straight away from VWFS and then settle the balance within 14 days of receiving the car. This way you get the deposit contribution and own the car outright. Don't tell the dealership you are doing this though!
If you are a cash buyer, “could” be better off finding a spec and colour to your liking used, as then any new car depreciation is gone. If you want new, best is as mentioned above with setting PCP within 14 days

Thanks for all your reply’s, very helpful. I keep hearing a rumour that there is a new RS3 coming next year in a 2 litre 4 pot form although not confirmed. I don’t really know which way to go, buy now or wait or do I just go for a BMW M2 competition.

Not sure about new RS3 next year, as new A3 platform not even announced, then S would follow with RS later, so more likely 2021/2022 I would have thought, but who knows with Audi lately, what with diesel engines in S models coming. Have heard rumours of a raft of RS models being announced later this year, so may know more in the coming months.
M2 Comp is a cracking car, and great deals to be had for now until the plug is pulled on that one for the new 4 pot 2 series, BUT a complety different car given only RWD.
Personally, I would either hang on and see what is coming, or get a mega spec used RS3 now
Cannot beat the 5 cyl 2.5
I was quite temped by the M2 Comp myself. What's not to like? 400+BHP, RWD, and a manual gearbox. Probably the last manual M car BMW will make, bar special editions that will be stupid money.
Never liked the 2 series, or the M2. But the M2 Comp looks different enough to consider one. But like the current RS3, the M2 is an old car now and ready for the new platform.
Can't see the RS3 being 2.0l 4-pot as the 5-pot IS the RS3. Years ago Audi engineers wanted the S3 engine in the RS3, as it was lighter and more tuneable. Audi board said No. But as Q5man says, you never know with Audi these days. Making bizarre decisions. No more so than what is available as an option on the now available to order RS3. Want SS seats? You must have the `Audi sport edition` which has options I don't want. Go for the standard RS3 which would give me Blue paint and Silver details, and you get the same seats out of a 1.5 TFSI.
But the all new A3 (if released after the Golf 8) will not be for sale until next year, 2020. S3 say 12 months after that, making the RS3 (12-18 months after the S3) 2022 at the earliest.
Of course we could also throw into the mix, the new Mercedes Benz AMG A45 which could be a real beast, especially as it will feature the new interior and the all new high technology systems of the AMG A35.
To be fair, I was all hate towards the A35 AMG. Then I went to have a look at one in the showroom. Denim Blue with the Aero pack. Have to say in the flesh I was impressed. Still not sure about the Ipad screens, but the graphics and sat nav were in another league to Audi.
Still think the Hatch is a bit boy racer, but the Saloon will hit the sweet spot in terms of style without being all flash harry.
I'm still not convinced I'd want a 400bhp 2.ol either. In the A35 AMG yes, but it's a shame Mercedes aren't going to give the A45 AMG a different engine. A Blown V6 could have been a good answer to Audi's 5-pot.
I think that I have become obsessed with that howl that the Audi 5 pot makes when on full chat. The only thing that annoys me is that Audi charge 1.6k for the sports exhaust, I understand that the engine note is somewhat subdued without this upgrade. Still I think I will order the RS on Monday, unless I change my mind over the weekend and turn to the dark side and order the Mercedes Benz GLC A45 AMG

To add to that, You want performance petrol - stump up for an RS3.
New A3 1.0 or 1.5 petrol, 1.6 or 2.0 diesel. - All painted in the most bizarre cacky colours imaginable.
S3 = 300 BHP Diesel (+hybrid?)
RS3 = 400 BHP 2.0l 4-pot petrol - more "accessible" than the current RS3, full production model, similar price to the current RS3, way way cheaper to manufacture, lots more sold.
Rationalisation = more profit for VAG.
Can't see the S3 being Diesel. But you never know with Audi.
Agree with the A1 colours. Though most colours in the rest of the Audi range are getting bland.
Maybe you're right about the 2.0 in the RS3, if Hybrid is introduced as well.
Best bet is to follow the PCP suggestion or there are a couple (literally) of brokers that can offer a small discount on the RS3. But you need to be prepared to travel for delivery and don't expect much more than 5% at most....

The next RS3, if there is to be one, definitely won't be a 4 pot. There are videos of a 5 cylinder RS Q3 (and Q4) lapping the 'ring, so that proves the 5 isn't being phased out any time soon.
IMO they will have spent too much money developing this DAZA engine to retire it just yet. I feel Audi’s entry level RS engine development pot of money will be quite very empty.
Agree with this. I think they will stay with the 5 pot but if they need to improve emissions within the range they might downsize the S3 or make it a hybrid...
Does anyone know if Audi have sorted the blistering / peeling black paint on the sports exhaust ?
On the PFL the exhaust was stainless finish only but with the FL the sport exhaust comes with black exhaust tail pipes.
Whilst they look cool in black, it would concern me if the paint treatment has not been sorted as I know a lot of owners had this issue before so I would hope Audi have addressed it now.

Nope, haha! Well with the latest ‘less rattly’ exhaust revision, it was exactly the same.
I think it’s inevitable it will deteriorate with exhaust vapour and heat. I just don’t attack the lips of the tips as much with the polish and it doesn’t look so bad, the soot fills it in.. black tips are low maintenance just lose shine over time.
I found powder coating my S3 tips worked a lot better. Soot didn't seem to bond like it did on the chrome/metal. Had no signs of deterioration after 8 or so months. Not sure if you're able to remove the RS3 tips to perform the same procedure so to speak.

I do treat them every month though, but they still look like new
Unfortunately you can’t remove the RS3 tips, they are welded onto the exhaust. I did go to one power coating company to ask, they were more baffled how a car like an RS3 ended up on their doorstep than they were interested to discuss.. turns out their business was in gates haha. They said it could be done while they were on the back box but I’d be taking the risk of it being baked at 80/90 degrees I think, anyway haven’t bothered to have it done.

I did toy with the idea of polishing the finish off to a bare metal finish, but my detailer advised against it. It could end up looking really messy and would be hard to maintain. I probably only polish mine every month or so because there isn’t any need to with them being black, but on the lip of the tips you can see it is going to bare metal.
All of the tips have some kind of coating, either chroming or paint I believe. The black tips on the FL are actually ‘black chrome’, not sure how they apply it but the standard tips as per any others are chromed. The tips are chromed / painted and then welded onto the exhaust afterwards.
I'll just let them get all sooty and ignore the finish then....pretty much what I've done on the A45...
