I have it done on my current car and wouldn’t bother again. Front bumper has been done 3 times due to the film lifting...and it’s doing it again. Foreign bodies under the film, hairs, never expected to carry the installers dna around with me! Some edges/corners where the film is wrapped over the edge are visible. Flat panels where the film is trimmed to the edge are ok though but on the sills it’s lifted. Bubbles under the film can take a hell of a long time to go. Film does look glossy is a positive and very easy to keep clean.
This was done by an Xpel approved installer and Xpel have agreed the job is not up to standard and offered to redo it but as I’m selling the car I’ve put it down to experience. Had nearly the whole car done which cost me £2.7k, except roof, rear bumper, boot lid. Front end will be around 800-1200 I’d have thought.
If you do get it done ask to see the installers work, make sure the environment is spotlessly clean or has an extraction system as the film is a dirt magnet during install.
I’ll live with the chips from now on and touch them in when they appear.
