Hi guys I’m new to this page I’d like to see if anyone has some friendly advice on the vehicles I list below good and bad points things to look out for or anything helpful the motors I’m looking at are the
A7 3.0tdi 245
A7 3.0 bitdi is it worth the extra money
A6 3.0tdi
And the q5 3.0tdi

Any info about mpg maintenance just anytning would be great I do around 15k a year and would like something with plenty of power and fun to drive but not to heavy of the fuel if that’s possible thanks guys look forward to hearing your response

Hi mate

Don't think everyone is being rude and ignoring you, to be honest there isn't a lot that goes on in here, there is more in the A6 C7 area as essentially it's the same car.

So what advice can I give? We have owned a Q5 and a Q7, an A6 bitdi avant and the S7, so a bit of everything. Firstly I would say forget the Q5, the A6 avant is more practical and comfortable with a significantly better interior as the Q5 is really based on the A4 platform. Your question on power really depends on where you are coming from, we have and continue to own sub 5 second 0-60 cars so would notice the drop to the 245 from a bitdi. The Audi bitdi is superb. I have a 435d and there is no competition the Audi block wins hands down on. If it were me, I would look for a good A6 bitdi black edition avant as I would not be disappointed if I had to change back from the S7. Awesome car that the whole family loved. Also still managed reasonable MPG.

Hi mate thank you for the reply interesting what you say about the bmw and audi that one of the other cars I'm looking at a 335d xdrive f30 when you mention the block is the a6 faster or more refined would you say also thinking of a 535d f10

Hello mate.
F10 feels old even comparing with pre fl c7 platform imho.

I have a7 245 S tronic which I changed from my a6 avant tiptronic. I don’t need boot space anymore as much as I used but a7 boot is still much bigger than saloon. Car is heavy and combined with Quattro it’s soaking into tarmac.
Mpg is around 32-50 depending where and how you drive. Definitely will be much better on motorway doing 80-90mph than constant city and round the corner trips ( if that was the case I would go for petrol).
Q5 - see above . Absolutely agree with it.
If you can afford bitdi with tiptronic instead of 245bhp S tronic then go for it as tip is much more reliable. S tronic needs to be serviced every 38K miles and it cost 225 GBP in Audi dealership. Other than that there isn’t many expensive faults going on I believe. It’s all down to condition of the car when you buying. Engine CDUC 245 had some issues with oil leak and s tronic is also sensible if you don’t look after it but other than that all is good .

The Audi lump is far more refined so much nicer to live with on a daily basis. I can't wait to give my 435d back. Interior is inferior, the engine is rough and it's just not as nice to drive as the Audi.

Oh right okay thank you for the advice mate I need to test drive one of these Audi’s problem is being 21 there not to keen on letting me have a test drive haha
