Help!! New MMI High Navigation Installation / Audi A3 8V

i successfully retrofitted mi mmi 3g to mmi 3g plus. Everything working except my sound - i need to Disable the MOST output for external amp and enable the internal amp - did it with VCDS.

My dealer removed the component protection on the unit and after that Navigation is locked - what is the best solution to unlock this? I would also like to have Audi Connect. What is the procedure for that? Currently it says - service unavailable. Internet is working perfectly on the unit.

What sound system do you have in the car? Basic (4 speakers) or Audi sound system (10 speakers)

Hello, in my2015 A3 SB I had a standard navigation (panasonic with 2 sd slots) with maps on sd cards, so any update was expensive.
I decided to change to harman unit, lcd and control panel.
In my old unit, DAB was present (i think so because i have a lot of connectors/cables) so i searched for specific unit. I have AMI without usb.
Finally bought:
unit 8V0035036A
LCD 8V0857273N
control panel 8V0919614L (still waiting for delivery).

I connected everything yesterday and now try to code it to my car. CP is present in unit, so tomorrow i will go to service to turn it off (80 euro).
In old unit, 5F coding was:
01730301FF00000021111101000A00002F0002040100010006
in new unit was:
017303010000000021111102000A00132F00012501000100DE
then i change it to:
01730301FF00000021111101000A00132F00022501000100DE
because i don't have b&o (only base 4 speaker) and want s3 logo.

Currently sound doesn't work because CP, when i take it off, navigation should stop work. Now i have 2 offer, 1st are maps with activation (140eur) or for the same price h@ck with 6 years of free maps update. Also i read that when CP was off, BT will stop work too.
Now reverse camera is working, indicators too, BT see my device.

My questions, requests:
-any help with coding (my vcds doesn't show any descriptions, only empty boxes to tick.
-should i ask service man for BT activation?
-how looks maps update when i buy maps with activation (pay every year for update)
-how to turn off Drive select, i have it on MMi but don't have that option in my car
-how to turn off Subwofer in MMI tone menu, i don't have it too
-there will be any problems with control panel mounting?

Reparametrise the unit with VCP and recode with HexV2 or Net cable (use experimental coding). Then reload the FeC's if you want to keep original maps/BT state etc. If you want to use h@ck, choice is yours.

Thanks for quick reply. I only have hexV2 ver. 17.1.3 or 17.8.1 so have to go to any garage.
When CP will be removing i will also ask about these FeC's reloading.

@DJAlix can help you with that. He can reload the OEM FeC's.

I coded again unit and seems that coding are ok. Also ordered VCP cable just in case. I arranged a visit in the audi service - next monday. When I spoke with service manager I said them about FeC reloading, and in their launguage it was "adding a device to the car". Hope that they know what they do and my new nav unit will be unblocked (CP) and added correctly.

Am not gonna read through everything here as I don’t have time, are you trying to retrofit an MIB high unit to your car which had an MIB STD?

Yes indeed. I had ZR_StdNav_MOST_DAB 8V0 035 874 B and now i have 8V0 035 036 A with SIM slot and DAB too.
After new coding, speakerphone in car start working, when calling i can hear and i can speak through MMI.
I wonder why the sound on the radio and the media still does not work. From what I have read, the sound should be limited by half, but act. Probably still wrong coding. Before i had greyed tone menu now is ON but i can't change anything, volume, speakers fader etc.
I will try to change coding for sound system: Byte 04-05 Sound System Channels - i have standard 4 speakers system. Or sound missing is CP related?

Unit must be hacked. CP and Code restore not gonna work.
 
audi upgrades
R U sure? In audi told me that it should work without problems, they will be adding device with SVN. Im not a specialist, just write what they told me.
I have an offer, deleting Cp and hacking device (maps upgrade for free) cost - 200 euro.

100% sure. You are trying to fit a device which is not valid for your vehicle. FES activation will fail as your vin is not valid for the MIB high navigation. SVM will not work as module is not valid for vehicle.

hmmm so what for they telling bullsh!t. I will call to them and asking about this, because I dont have time for testing, i want to make it working quickly in one time. Thanks for help.
 
Update. I called to service and they maintain their opinion that they does as they say and it will work. lol
I don't want to lose my time so decided to send unit to a specialist who hack it and i will have lifetime maps update for free.
Price is also satisfying - 137GBP :D

The "hacktivation" price is very very good, cheaper than me :)
 
Just curious, to "hacktivate" that unit any special tools/programs are necessary? I know that knowledge is basic element but what else. Or i ask in other way, can "normal people" do this in home? I know basic programming, soldering, program integrated circuits, etc.
Its a real satisfaction when you can do something by yourself. :D

Special and custom tools are needed. Only a few people in the world can do this. Thats all I am going to say.
 
Only a few people in the WORLD? Forgive honesty but i've found without problems 3 specialist in my province (not in whole Poland). I choose the cheapest one with very good opinions, btw. from a 'vag' forum too. Cheers ;)

There are loads of people who advertise the service but only a few people who can do it. You want your car painted? Yes sir, I can do that. Give me your car for 4 days and I will drive it to the body shop and get someone else to paint it and take a commission as I know nothing about paint and only do retrofits lol

There is only a small number of people in the world who know how to do this FACT, or else the information would be all over the place and you would be able to follow a forum guide if you have the tools available to you.
 
No, no, no, every of these people doing this by himself. I know that and im sure for 100%. I talking with many of people about my case for last 3 days. Now i know who and where in my neighbour can do something more with vag cars.
Of course You have right too, many of people are a 'midlleman' but finally i got contact to real specialists.
Even in genuine audi garage works one of them and he doing whatever he want, after working hours ;)
I can drill a little bit more and in fact find out what you really need. I know that its Your work and got salary for it but if someone want something badly then he can get it :p

this audi worker specialist told me now that he can add this unit like audi service said, svn, cp off and unit works without any problems - only maps activation gone (350pln thats his salary for that). These dude know what he doing, he prepare units from usa too. I choosed hack because its cheapest solution for me. Im off, thanks for conversation. Best regards.

No additional wiring is needed, just plug in.

BTW i don't have ADS in my car but already functions are present in a new unit. I try to unlock (coding) rest of things to make it working.
But i have a little worries that this option is only enable with odis.

ADS is SWaP, cannot activate without a licence and ODIS, but I am sure you will try to tell me otherwise lol

I'm new here, and thank you all for help in advance. I have A3 8V 2013 with MMI Radio, and I want to upgrade. In local store I found a 8W5035036 unit, and I wondering do I need to change central console and display, or only this unit?
 
i believe that part is for an A4. If you are changing from an MMi1 to MMi2 the console buttons do change too but the older style do work but some functions not accessible as the pre facelift knob doesnt go up/down or sideways. You would also need the higher resolution screen if you dont have it already

Hello again. Currently im a happy user of hacked unit :D but im tired of removing two fault codes in 5F.
Maybe someone could help:
Code: 
3073 - GSM Antenna, B1053 13 [009] - Open circuit
3084 - GSM antenna 2, B1533 13 [009] - Open Circuit
Everything working well (i think so), navigation, media, radio with dab too, telephone - calls, bt -speaker, media trought bt.

When i untick bit 4 in byte 15 on 5F channel, then error 3073 was gone, also Audi Connect from menu too.
So i think i should change something else, or maybe my GSM antenna is not present or broken, any clues?

I do some research on measuring block, here is a result.

On old unit i didnt have any fault codes in 5F, so i think that antenna are ok, maybe new unit is broken or parametrization are wrong or wiring... i checked plugs, seems to be ok
