Switched sides from a4 to a6

Hi everyone I sold my lovely a4 avant last week and picked up an even lovelier a6 avant on Saturday!
It’s a 12 plate 3.0 v6 tdi 115k miles
White with a ridiculous amount of spec
Never had an auto before but I’m loving it at the moment!

Thanks guys! Not really sure what colour it is the back bumper is darker than the rest tough I know that haha

My Mrs doesn’t like the chrome so will get rid of that and get an rs6 grill and splitter I think. My door handles have chrome on them that might be a ball ache...

Then just clean the brakes up and think about mapping it!

My a4 avant was 2.0 tdi Quattro I got the dpf gut and remapped but I might get the race pipe for this so I have the dpf if I ever need it

Nothing out of the ordinary outside but some nice spec, tech pack, piano black inserts, pan roof, head up display memory seats, 4 way climate control all that kind of jazz!

Just need to de chrome the outside!

Booked in for some gloss black vinyl for the chrome and have an rs6 style gloss black grill hopefully look a bit more aggressive

I’m thinking of trading my 2016 A4 for a similarly aged A6.

I’ve got apple car play on my A4 so get Spotify with no issues.

Will Spotify work with the MMI system in a A6 as I understand they don’t come with apple car play?

You can play Spotify but have only skip forwards/back controls as it has to be done via the bluetooth connection

Phone connects with Bluetooth I just pick a playlist and pop the phone in the arm rest and there we go

You have the Tech Pack, so you could do what I did and switch from Spotify to Anazon Music. That way you will gave full playlist control via the MMI.

Look for an MY17 model or later (around 66 plate) as carplay was offered as a £250 option for cars with tech pack.

Gave it a wash today and decided to take the ‘a6’ badge off I think il keep the tdi Quattro badges

Getting the chrome bits wrapped tomorrow so il put some pictures up.

I have chrome on my ****** door handles too does anyone else?

Bumper off I'm afraid.
There are 2 bolts (1each side) you have to get at from under the headlight from the wheel arch through the wind that are absolute twats.
The rest is easy.
I also had to cut down the 2 screw holes which sit behind the rings in order to get the grille to sit flush pics attched

Just had a nice long blast to the nearest shell after the gym, what a machine absolutely love it

And I don’t know if they are all like it or if it’s just the tech pack but it’s such a nice place to be at night so many lights everywhere

Door handles, puddle lights, in the door cards, in the Ali foot plates everywhere!!

It’s also got the separate heating controls for the back with a vent each side on the door pillar haven’t seen many like that

The lights on the door sills and down from the control panel the other side of the footwell must be part of the lighting pack, because I have the Tech Pack, but don’t have those lights. They look really good.

Yeah I have lighting pack and have those extra lights. Does look mint at night.
I've changed all blubs for led inside.
Footwell, puddle and number plates bulbs were already led

Mine has the air vents in the pillars at the rear and the two vents at the back of the centre console but no temp control only on or off. Not sure if I have the tech pack or not....?

Facelift c7.5 gets the rear climate as standard. Mine doesn't have it.

Tech pack has bigger screen. If you have thick black strips either side of screen the. It's not tech pack

Yeah it has a bigger screen to the first one I test drove, Bose too when did it change to B&o? All the extra spec on mine head up display and all sorts and there isn’t any ****** cup holders in the rear arm rest

And it’s got a touch pad next to the gear knob seen some have buttons? Wish it had a list of all the extras, where is the sticker telling me engine code gbox code and paint code etc?

You should be able to get a list of all the standard and optional extras if you download the MyAudi app.

I’d love the head up display. No cup holders though? Must have 2 in the compartment in front of the armrest.

Ah mine must not have the tech pack then. It’s got the Bose system though which I think was standard on the BE. Mine not got the touch pad it has the 6 buttons. Guess that’s a tech pack item too

Touch screen by the gear stick is part of the TECH PACK

You can retro-fit the cup holders in the rear arm rest. I bought a cup holder from a MK4 Golf and fitted; be warned the trim piece is about £40 and the cupholder about £20 lol

Just ordered an obdeleven so il be doing the little tricks with that, then mot in a few months think il have a carbon clean while it’s there!

I want to paint the rear defuser gloss black but I’m in no rush.

I couldn’t believe how much leaves and crap was stuck behind the intercooler etc tried straightening a few fins on the intercooler but I think they’re about £80 so might just get a new one before I ever get it mapped, air filter looked abit old too has anyone got the K&n replacement ones?
